Momentum Advisory Collective seeks an experienced National Development Operations Manager to support long-term funding sustainability for our young, fast-growing organization and drive ongoing fundraising initiatives.  

The National Development Operations Manager will play an operations support role in  Momentum Advisory Collective's fundraising and philanthropic efforts. This position involves working closely with the Director of Development and Café Momentum staff to ensure the efficient operation of the CRM Salesforce and support for overall fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive Salesforce subject matter expert (SME).

The Development Manager reports to the National Director of Development

Responsibilities include //

Lead Change Management, Governance, Project Management, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement regarding all aspects of Development project(s) for the Salesforce platform. Lead efforts to manage the implementation and adoption of all Development change requests to meet business needs. Maintain the donor database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in Salesforce and Click & Pledge. Generate reports and analyze data to support fundraising strategies.

  • Respond to donor inquiries and grant donor details. Ensure timely acknowledgment of all donations and generate acknowledgment letters and receipts for donors. Collaborate with other departments to align development best practice solutions with organizational priorities for both local and national users.

Prepare materials to support database usage and standards. Manage all aspects of user and license management, including new user setup/deactivation, roles, and permissions/profiles. Create training and onboarding for new Salesforce users. Lead and/or assist in various development projects and events, such as grants or launch committee meetings, as needed. Manage department mailing of appeals and donor correspondences. Represent the organization professionally when engaging with external stakeholders such as government, local business owners and executives, education leaders, community-based organizations, and others. Provide administrative support to the development team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.

Key Attributes, Experience, Knowledge & Skills //

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Salesforce or a similar CRM role. Knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques. Self-starter comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, large-scale national startup. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of communication principles and practices.  Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and follow through with minimal direction. Attention to detail and project management skills. Proficient in the use of various MS Office programs and Google applications. Proficient Salesforce user and fundraising platforms. Upbeat, positive attitude and a good sense of humor are a plus.

Working Environment //

This full-time position on a nationally distributed team will be a hybrid role in Dallas, TX. As this role works across time zones, working hours may be outside of normal office hours. Employees may be required to work nights or weekends and will be required to travel up to 10% of the time. On-site work may be conducted in detention facilities, restaurant environments, outdoor environments, in the community (homes, businesses, etc.), in street environments, and with system-involved individuals. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, document projectors, and filing cabinets. The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
