About Zaban Paradies Center

An independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization since 2009, Zaban Paradies Center (ZPC) was founded in 1984 by The Temple as the first and only shelter for couples experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. The mission of the Center was to keep couples together as they moved from homelessness to finding permanent places to live.

Currently, ZPC operates a 15-room Emergency Shelter for couples and has expanded its programming in recent years to include Rapid Re-Housing, Outreach, Day Services, and Financial Assistance programs. These programs have allowed ZPC to dramatically increase its impact in the city - and continue to make homelessness rare, brief, and only one time.

Having expanded our services and client base, ZPC's current mission is empowering couples, families, and individuals facing homelessness to achieve self-sufficiency.

Zaban Paradies Center is located in Midtown Atlanta at 1605 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30309. This position works 100% in-person from ZPC's office.

Job: Center Manager

ZPC’s Center Manager is a key staff member who oversees the programming, daily operations, and staffing of the Center’s Emergency Shelter and Day Services programs. Our shelter is open 7 days per week and provides shelter to 15 couples at a time. Additionally, one day per week, the Center opens its doors for Day Services to community members experiencing homelessness, providing a warm lunch and access to showers and bathroom facilities, laundry facilities, computer lab, clothing closet, and light-touch case management. The Center Manager oversees all aspects of the shelter and residential program and provides supervision for the Day Services program.

ZPC is focused on providing solutions to end homelessness in coordination with a number of partners, and the Center Manager will help ZPC achieve its goals. The Center Manager will focus their attention on providing excellent service to residents, facilitating pathways to permanent housing, and maintaining shelter operations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work or a related social services field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
