Volunteer Pop Up Shop Manager

Devereux Georgia provides intensive residential treatment in a secure setting for youth, ages 10 to 21, who are facing significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Our beautiful campus located in a serene, wooded setting offers a swimming pool, volleyball court, tennis court, playing field, lake and playground, which allow our youth the opportunity to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities.

Presently, we are seeking 2 dedicated and committed volunteers to assist with organizing and running our Pop-Up Shop, where clothing is sorted and donated for the children on campus. 

Duties involved may include:

• Processing and inventorying new clothing donations
• Emailing and soliciting vendors and outside groups/outreach partners, notifying them of our critical needs and shortages
• Organizing and sorting clothing onto shelving by size/gender
• Creating and maintaining a sign out log for donated shoes and coats
• Responding to residential units requests for clothing 
• Communicating with the Development and Marketing Departments with regards to volunteer needs as well as needs lists
• Providing excellent customer service to campus departments and therapists as they assist with finding clients appropriate clothing. 

Hours could be during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30am until 5:00pm and are flexible). Certain seasons require greater commitment than others, but, on average, the volunteer requirement would be no more than 8-10 hours per week. 

Volunteers at Devereux Georgia must go through a brief training orientation as well as background check process, so we request that individuals plan on committing to the support of the Pop-Up Shop for a minimum of 3 months. Additionally, we are only able to accommodate volunteers over 21 years of age for this position.
