NetHope is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and proven partnership professional to engage and manage new and existing corporate partners to grow philanthropy for NetHope’s mission. This role will support NetHope Global Summit sponsorship, NetHope’s Partner Ecosystem, NetHope’s Center for the Digital Nonprofit, and assist with special projects. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will proactively and continuously pursue ways to support fundraising, ensure timely engagement with external stakeholders, and improve collaboration within the NetHope community.  

Specific responsibilities include

Corporate Partnerships 

  • Support the development, launch and delivery of a new annual corporate partnership program: the NetHope Partner Ecosystem, working closely with the Deputy Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy 
  • Conduct donor outreach and build a pipeline of prospective partners for the program to meet fundraising goals  
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned prospects and partners 
  • Manage partnership strategy activities within assigned portfolio, with a focus on stewarding and deepening relationships with current partners, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and deeper support of NetHope’s mission, in collaboration with Chief Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer (CPPO) and Deputy Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy (Department Leadership)  
  • Lead on activation of benefits for corporate partners, working closely with NetHope teams. Includes:  
  • Supporting coordination and delivery of external webinars to showcase NGO / nonprofit use cases, hosting virtual Lightning Tech Demonstrations and Member-Partner Virtual Speed Networking events  
  • Collaborating with Communications and Member Engagement team to plan and support virtual events and provide partner recognition and visibility  
  • Lead on partner prospecting and research  
  • Coordinate prospect and donor meetings. Responsibilities include preparing teams, drafting communications on behalf of Department Leadership and presenting externally  
  • Support aspects of dynamic corporate and donor proposals as assigned including writing, preparation of supporting documentation, pitch decks, contracts, agendas and stewardship materials  
  • Manage grants when corporate partners are engaged in the delivery and additional grants management as assigned  
  • Maintain calendar of renewal agreements for partners, schedules renewal meetings, and implement renewal activities with internal/external stakeholders  
  • Provide regular updates and engage NetHope staff and Senior Leadership Team in partnership activities 
  • Ensure NetHope is represented in the right coalitions with the goal of supporting stronger external presence and additional relationships, in collaboration with the External Relations Team 

NetHope Center for the Digital Nonprofit – Partner Relationship Management and Support 

  • Serve as the primary writer on all grant proposals, requests, and Quarterly Business Updates 
  • Responsible for account management for NetHope Center for the Digital Nonprofit partners including: 
  • Maintain a regular cadence of communication with Partners’ point of contact and key partner staff 
  • Develop and maintain templates for regular updates, meeting, and reporting 
  • Collaborate closely with the Center for the Digital Nonprofit and Development Leadership to proactively track benefits and engage and increase partners’ satisfaction and retention 
  • Seek opportunities for engagement with Partner(s) and NetHope to collaborate, especially around global events, Partners events, and key moments throughout the year 
  • Implement a focused program of stewardship activities to deepen partnership and support Partner staff engagement 
  • Maintain and update collateral to ensure impact and achievements of partnerships are visible  
  • Work closely with Director of the NetHope Center for the Digital Nonprofit and CPPO to set up a regular cadence of partner check-ins, and conduct report presentation and renewal meetings 
  • Manage the planning and delivery of monthly NetHope Center for the Digital Nonprofit Founders and Partners meeting, partner QBU and occasional special meetings, includes coordinating live meetings, in collaboration with the Director of the NetHope Center for the Digital Nonprofit and Chief Innovation Officer 
  • Support new partner meetings and fundraising activities, in close collaboration with External Relations team leadership, NetHope Center for the Digital Nonprofit team and Finance Director

NetHope Global Summit Sponsorships  

  • Lead on correspondence with new prospects in assigned portfolio, regularly tracking engagements  
  • Lead on communications to sponsor portfolio and exhibitors, conducting external meetings independently 
  • Responsible for activation of benefits for exhibitors at the NetHope Global Summit 
  • Support planning and execution of in-person and virtual benefits  
  • Create and share general sponsorship communications 
  • Support troubleshooting for sponsors  
  • Work closely with the Deputy Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy and CPPO to support team to secure sponsor commitments, provide external information and statistics, and design future sponsorship opportunities  

External Relations Operations and Support 

  • Implement and manage plans and schedules of partner-related activities, including major grants 
  • Responsible for liaising with internal departments as assigned to: 
  • Navigate partner contracts, invoicing and payments and gather relevant information and/or requests from partners/sponsors 
  • Establish communication with partners/sponsors  
  • Deliver onboarding presentation to partners  
  • Conduct stewardship activities 
  • Create, maintain and update Salesforce, Box files, Asana, Instil and other systems   
  • Assist on the development of research, gift reporting and data integrity, track proposal opportunities and support pipeline accountability. Synthesize outreach activities and document via internal documentation on systems 
  • Prepare regular, quarterly, and annual performance reports for partners and key donors gathering inputs from program leads, MEAL data, and financial information. Prepare regular interim reports and final annual reports in collaboration with NetHope program leaders and coordinate with grant channels if needed 
  • Support internal management of partnerships: input to Quarterly briefings, maintain and update partnerships dashboard, and implement account management improvements 
  • Proactively support Moves Management process and identify opportunities. Consider where NetHope contacts, prospects, donors, and partners are suited for invitation to and engagement at high level events and CEO engagement, working closely with Development Coordinator 
  • Capture case studies and partnership success stories, in collaboration with subject matter experts and Communications teams  
  • Deputized for partner and sponsor communications while Deputy Director is out of office  
  • Assist Senior Leadership Team on special projects as assigned 
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills 

  • Experience managing partner and funder relationships in international contexts  
  • Demonstrated experience meeting ambitious annual targets in previous position(s) and working with fundraising teams 
  • Grants management, budgeting, and reporting 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong time management and organization skills 
  • Ability to quickly synthesize new information and navigating complex conversations to drive decision-making and prioritization on corporate philanthropy opportunities 
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Experience developing and delivering high quality PowerPoint presentations and other partner-facing materials  
  • Able to coordinate meetings across multiple time-zones 
  • Multilingual communications skills a plus 

Education and Experience 

  • Minimum four years of partnership experience working with corporate partners, in philanthropy or sales, or equivalent NGO and external relationship management experience 
  • Nonprofit fundraising experience  
  • Experience with Zoom, Salesforce, Box and Asana preferred 
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience 
  • Experience supporting the delivery of new fundraising programs or partner propositions a plus 
  • Knowledge of international humanitarian and development sectors a plus 
  • NetHope Member or Partner experience highly valued, other NGO experience a plus 
     

Reporting and Working Conditions: 

  • This position is a full-time position that reports to the Deputy Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy and works closely with Senior Leadership, workstream leads and staff across the organization.  
  • Preferred time zones include: ET, or UTC with flexibility for West Coast USA partner calls, or UTC-3 
  • NetHope is a virtual organization, so our team, our Members, and our Partners are located around the world.  Due to the global nature of the organization, meetings may thus be required at any time of the day to meet with our stakeholders in varying time zones. To meet these needs, NetHope embraces flexible schedules for team members, and we work with each other to be located globally, and still maintain a reasonable work time balance.
