Navigate Recovery Gwinnett is a nonprofit Recovery Community Organization (RCO) is Gwinnett County, GA, that envisions a community that treats addiction as a chronic condition and those who suffer with dignity and respect.
Lightway Recovery Addiction Wellness Center is a residential program for women based on those same principles. Both are organized under the umbrella of Sojourn Ministries, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit charity formed in 2008.
OUR MISSION is to serve individuals and families impacted by addiction by connecting them to the support they need and removing barriers that prevent them from getting well.
We Advocate, Collaborate, Facilitate, and Encourage Recovery through multiple pathways.
We believe innovation is essential to change how we view and treat addiction and mental health issues. We also believe peer support is a crucial part of the continuum of care.
For our team of volunteers and recovery coaches, serving our community is not just “a job” but a passion. Many of us consider it a calling. Job Title: Administrative Coordination | RECOVERY COACH
Description: Coordinates administrative office services such as coordinating general business activities for themselves and others, appointment-setting, records control, and other administrative activities for Navigate Recovery and it’s programs; LifelineED, Safe Harbor addiction recovery support center and Lightway for Women our residential wellness center in Flowery Branch, GA. Oversees operating policies and exercises independent judgment in the resolution of administrative problems.
A key component and responsibility includes leveraging your experience, professionalism, and relational skills to develop our volunteer, community service and advisory council groups. Develop, implement and maintain relationships with group members and communicate frequently about company initiatives, successes and challenges.
Qualifications
- A minimum two years of abstinence based recovery from addiction
- A passion for serving individuals and families impacted by addiction
- Ability to quickly connect with peers and family members, offering hope and resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to record accurate data, prepare reports, learn and use various software, train groups and share your story
- Ability to communicate with peers, family members, and coworkers in a positive way Ability to network with other organizations to learn about resources and build positive collaboration
- Desire to be part of a team of innovators who are always working to improve the services we offer and to support each other in an evolving environment
- Willingness and Commitment to living by the code of ethics and Sojourn Ministries Core Values.
- Willingness to learn and grow through continuing education and training
Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinates and implements general office services such as appointment-setting, records control, and other administrative activities.
- Assists with mail, banking and donation tracking and keeping financial records organized for accountant
- Analyzes organizational operating practices such as record keeping systems, forms control, office layout, and personnel requirements, creates new systems or revises established procedures
- Interprets and communicates operating policies
- Coordinates collection and preparation of financial and operations reports for grants, contracts, Board meetings, etc.
- Participates in interviewing job applicants and conducts orientation of new employees as needed
- Limited administrative Human Resource functions
- Locates and compiles information; formats reports, graphs, tables, records, and other sources of information
- Assist in creating and assembling reports required to meet grant requirements/business needs
- Proofreads all written communication for teammates and serves as “gatekeeper” of the adherence to the Branding Guide and communication style of the organization.
- Assists with special events planning, attending events as needed
- Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software
- Uses various software applications such as spreadsheets, CRM relational databases, and graphics packages to assemble and/or format data and/or reports
- Exercises administrative judgment and alerts leadership of issues impacting staff, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional areas
- Facilitate recovery groups and peer and family support as needed
- Share your story and promote the support and services we provide
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of our monthly Lunch and Learn community event
- Manage coordination and active engagement of our volunteer community
- Assist in the coordination and ongoing engagement of our Advisory Board Group
- Work with the Program Manager and assist in writing email communications and develop a communications calendar for emailing to constituencies on a routine basis
- Prepare event communications, marketing and advertising materials
- Assist with Social Media (as needed)
- Other duties, as required
Pay and Benefits
- The initial rate of pay is based on qualifications and experience.
- Ten days of Paid Time Off (PTO) accrued from day one for full-time employees and available for use after 90 days
- Ten Paid Holidays after 90 days, including your birthday—As we are 7 days a week operation, we sometimes must rotate holidays but replace them with makeup holidays
- Phone Allowance of $50 per month
- Reimbursement for mileage if travel is required
- Supplemental AFLAC Insurance policies are available. Group rate for Vision and Dental available.

Work Days and Hours This is a full time hourly position (40 hours weekly) available immediately. Your initial working hours while training are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM M-F (days and hours may be adjusted to accommodate organizational needs). Overtime is not allowed unless previously approved by managers.
