Senior Multimedia Specialist (Full-Time Hourly, Benefits-Eligible)

This full-time, benefits-eligible position reports to the Associate Director for Production and Operations with the primary responsibility of providing audio engineering services for a robust season of professional artists and Emory Department of Music curricular events in coordination with the Schwartz Center’s season calendar. This position is a key member of the production team in the presentation of performances, requiring regular work hours on nights and weekends.

- Provide or supervise audio and lighting services for rehearsals and performances presented at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts and occasionally other campus venues.
- Consult with performers, artistic faculty, directors, and guest artists to determine the audio/visual needs of all concerts.
- Engage and oversee vendors for installation and manage on-site setups/strikes of additional equipment as needed. Coordinate logistics of web streaming of events and simultaneous broadcasting to other campus venues.
- Manage control booth at Emerson Concert Hall including equipment storage, maintenance, and inventory.
- Record concerts on various formats and edit some concerts for radio broadcast.
- Supervise work-study students and temporary audio crews.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a performance venue is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly organized and self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills. They will possess a keen attention to detail and have the ability to facilitate multiple projects simultaneously. An appreciation for various music genres, including classical, vocal, jazz, and world music is beneficial. The candidate should be comfortable supervising student employees and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure the smooth production of performances. This position offers a dynamic work environment within a small department, requiring flexibility and a proactive approach to managing tasks. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to promoting and supporting the Schwartz Center’s events and initiatives.
