ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Consulting Manager will play a critical role in leading multiple client engagements, managing project execution, and supporting the continuous improvement of DevelopWell’s products and services. This position will ensure a seamless client experience, from planning and logistics to delivering high-quality solutions. The Consulting Manager will collaborate across the organization, balancing internal content development with direct client-facing responsibilities.
A TYPICAL DAY
As a Consulting Manager, your day will involve a lot of juggling between different projects, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt as priorities shift. On a typical day, you’ll participate in internal prep meetings, manage logistics and coordination with various clients, block out time to create and refine client-facing materials, and collaborate with your team to ensure projects are moving forward smoothly.
You’ll transition effortlessly between high-level strategy and the detailed tasks of project execution, ensuring systems and processes are clear, efficient, and values-driven, with a focus on delivering meaningful results for clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Management and Project Execution (70%)
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring an organized, proactive, and seamless experience.
- Manage all client-facing scheduling, communications, and logistics, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Develop and refine client-facing materials such as proposals, reports, and presentations.
- Anticipate client needs and provide creative solutions, continuously improving processes to align with client and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams on project alignment, feedback, and approvals, ensuring project success and satisfaction.
- Lead presentations and facilitate discussions with clients and stakeholders.
Content Development and Innovation (20%)
- Continuously refine and iterate on existing materials and deliverables to ensure they meet high standards and align with DevelopWell’s brand.
- Conduct research to stay informed about emerging trends in organizational development, HR, and DEIJ to inform project strategies.
- Innovate new approaches and deliverables based on client feedback and evolving needs, applying data-driven insights.
- Maintain and develop consulting templates, tools, and resources to enhance internal and client-facing work.
Internal Operations and Team Collaboration (10%)
- Collaborate internally using DevelopWell’s tools and systems to ensure smooth project execution and team alignment.
- Actively participate in team learning initiatives and contribute to DevelopWell’s culture by sharing resources and feedback.
- Support the development of internal best practices, especially in project management and client engagement.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR THIS ROLE
- 3-5 years of experience in consulting, organizational development, or project management.
- Proven experience managing complex projects, including balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong track record in direct client engagement, ensuring a professional and seamless client experience.
- Expertise in managing schedules, logistics, and project workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Experience working on DEIJ initiatives, supporting clients in building equitable and inclusive workplaces.
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable work environments for clients and colleagues.

WORKING AT DEVELOPWELL
- 32 hour work week
- Flexible work location including a budget to set up your home office.
- This remote position requires consistent phone and internet access at your home office location.

SALARY AND COMPENSATION
- Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000, based on experience.
- Health benefits: 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees; 80% coverage for dependents.
- Retirement benefits: 401k plan with a 4% match after three months of employment.
- Paid time off: Unlimited PTO, including U.S. holidays and two weeks off in December.
- Other perks: Monthly stipend for cell phone/internet services, and the ability to work fully remote in a flexible work environment.
