Job Details

Kate’s Club’s vision is to create a world in which it’s okay to grieve, and we want you to join us
in this work. We are a community for children and teens, their families, and young adults facing
life after the death of someone important to them. The organization brings people together
around grief, creating safe - both in-person and online - educational, recreational and
therapeutic spaces designed to help everyone express the emotions that come with such a loss.
We are growing our programs to help expand the support of those who are grieving, and we
want your help.

Are you a leader in your community?
We are seeking a thoughtful, caring individual who can engage with the communities of
Southwest Georgia to continue to build out the unique programming that Kate’s Club offers. As
the Regional Program Coordinator based in Albany, you will manage programs throughout the
Southwest Georgia area. You will be someone who can connect with regional leaders,
educational institutions, and healthcare resources to find families who need Kate’s Club
services. You will use data to track our programs’ success and be involved in fundraising efforts
to drive support. This is a particularly exciting opportunity for those who like to build.

What you’ll do

  • Program management and facilitation - about 50% of the role. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of Kate’s Club’s grief support programming for children, families, and young adults. You will recruit and grow new Clubhouse membership and organize community outreach programs, including school groups.
  • Build partnerships with local communities - about 30% of the role. You’ll work with the Director of Regional Expansion to map out local needs assessments and recommend effective marketing and outreach approaches. You’ll focus on schools, faith organizations, health care providers, and other places that can serve as referral services or enablers of Kate’s Club programming.
  • Track and report progress of efforts - about 20% of the role. The ability to demonstrate the value of the work we do at Kate’s Club is an integral part of this role. You will be responsible for tracking participation and other key metrics to demonstrate to our funders that we are using our resources effectively to reach the grieving community.

A more detailed job description is available upon request.

What you’ll bring
• A love of detail and execution: the ability to track multiple activities while still keeping a
focus on the mission of the organization
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience working in a social service or mental
health-related field; a bachelor’s degree in a human or social services field. A master's
degree is considered favorably.
• An understanding of bereavement and a passion for the Kate’s Club mission
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred
• Ability to analyze and utilize data related to tracking activity and outcomes of
programming
• Enthusiasm to elevate Kate’s Club brand and messaging locally and nationally, including
presenting to prospective community partners
• The ability to travel throughout Southwest Georgia and to work some weekends and
evenings

What we offer
● A flexible model of work
● A salary range of $44,000 - $47,000 annually
● Paid time off, health benefits
● Professional development opportunities
● A strong culture of support and belonging
● An unparalleled depth of expertise in grief, with recognition for our work at the national
level, and a strong strategic vision, with financial support, to continue to build a world in
which it’s okay to grieve.

How to apply
Grief does not discriminate. As such, Kate’s Club is committed to building a diverse staff,
reflective of the population it serves. We encourage anyone who has a passion for building a
world in which it’s okay to grieve to apply, even if your experiences do not line up exactly with
those in the position description. Please send your resume, cover letter, and salary
requirements to judy.train@katesclub[dot]org with the subject Southwest Georgia Coordinator in the
subject line. We will begin reviewing submissions on September 20th.
