Orchard is seeking a seasoned development professional to take our fundraising efforts to the next level. You will be wowing our existing donors while also helping us build connections with an entirely new set of supporters. Exciting, right? Join us in making a real impact!

Strategy

  • Setting a strict, predictable, calendar-based plan for raising funds for Orchard This should have an elevated focus on attracting new donors
  • Ensure execution of the annual plan by functioning as the chief accountability officer for Orchard’s organizational fundraising efforts
  • Working with invested stakeholders to incorporate new and developing concepts for fundraising
  • Ensuring Orchard’s general communications plan supports the organizational fundraising strategy
  • Providing direction and guidance to Orchard’s staff and Board outlining how they can contribute to Orchard’s fundraising strategy
  • Improving metric utilization for development in conjunction with Programs and other departments

Donor Relationships

  • Place a greater focus of personal time on developing relationships with new potential donors without neglecting updates to legacy donors
  • Maintain a personal portfolio of donor relationships
  • Ensure all donors are receiving focused care congruent with their level of giving and length of connection to the ministry
  • Actively work to expand Orchard’s relationships with churches while ensuring care and updates are providing to existing church partners Issue donation receipts to all donors as they give.
  • Ensuring ongoing care of Orchard’s donor database in our CRM (Constituent Relationship Management)

Collaboration

  • Work with Executive Director to ensure he or she has what is needed to care for a defined subset of donors develop a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the organization (donors, programs, communications, fundraising, etc.) that are tracked, measured, and reported monthly, quarterly, etc.
  • Exhaustive reports will be required at each quarterly Board meeting
  • Work with Communications Director to build relationships with grant makers and potential church partners define content for donor stewardship efforts, including automated “thank you” notifications, calls, and other activities as needed  

THE RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Executive Director, works closely with the Communications Director, and actively engages the Board of Directors.
