POSITION OVERVIEW: The Program Director at COR will provide strategic leadership and management to all youth and caregiver programs, including our CORner Store, Prevention and Mental Wellness Programs, and Wraparound Care, as well as lead the expansion of services to Price Middle School. COR’s Program Director will also oversee and manage program staff and interns, manage day-to-day operations, and implement innovative strategies to enhance the impact of COR’s services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership and Management:
- Oversee all COR programs, including administration, fiscal management, and staff coordination.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance program engagement and success.
- Supervise the launch and growth of new initiatives, including Price Middle School’s prevention and wellness support.
Staff Management:
- Manage recruitment, supervision, evaluations, and personnel matters for program staff and interns.
- Conduct weekly team meetings and individual check-ins with staff.
- Provide ongoing training and support to program staff and social work interns.
Program Operations:
- Ensure high-quality program delivery and adherence to organizational goals.
- Split time between Carver High School and Price Middle School, supporting ongoing initiatives and launching new ones.
- Deliver direct services at Price Middle School during the early phase of program expansion.
- Serve as the point of contact for schools and key partners.
- Track and monitor program outcomes, assessments, and reports to ensure impactful programming and effective mental wellness support.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a nonprofit setting, with a strong focus on program management and team leadership.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Mental Health, or a related field is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree is required with relevant experience.
- Licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC is a plus but not required.
- Experience with youth development programming, such as social-emotional learning, social skills training, prevention, and/or trauma-informed practices preferred.
- Proven track record as a dynamic leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Deep passion for working with historically excluded populations and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the work.
- Knowledge of local community resources and partnerships is an advantage and will enhance program effectiveness.
