As a Community Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in realizing this vision within a 55+ active adult community in Decatur, GA.

Overview:
The Community Coordinator position offers a unique opportunity to shape and nurture a vibrant and caring community within the 55+ active adult neighborhood of Decatur, GA. By organizing events, forging partnerships, and fostering spiritual growth, you will be an instrumental agent of positive change. Through your dedication, residents will experience a sense of belonging, growth, and holistic well-being that enriches their lives in meaningful ways.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating Spiritual Growth: Through intentional discipleship, engaging Bible studies, and spiritual events, you will construct relational bridges that connect residents to Jesus. Your efforts will contribute to their spiritual growth and transformation.
  • Fostering Community Connections: By organizing workshops, fitness classes, excursions, and social gatherings, you will weave relational bridges that unite neighbors and foster trust and care. In doing so, you will nurture a sense of belonging for all community members.
  • Addressing Holistic Well-being: You will establish vital connections between the community and valuable resources/service providers. Through tailored programs and partnerships, you will address residents' physical needs and champion their overall well-being.
  • Community Resident Support: Building strong relationships, you will attend to residents' emotional, social, physical, and spiritual needs. This holistic care will contribute to their overall quality of life.
  • Resourceful Assistance: You will connect residents to essential resources, such as transportation, health and wellness services, home care, financial planning, and socialization opportunities.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Working in tandem with property managers, leasing agents, and office staff, you will facilitate a seamless and positive living experience for residents.
  • Advocacy and Support: You will be a voice for the residents, advocating for their needs within the community and at the organizational level.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for community development, holistic well-being, and spiritual growth through discipleship
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Organizational and event planning abilities are a must.
  • Empathetic and supportive nature.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
  • Previous experience in community engagement, social work, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Living on-site is strongly preferred but not required.
