Provide a full array of services to union members related to their Health Insurance benefits, Pension benefits and other benefits.  Work as part of a team providing information and resources to enrolled participants.  Assist in the administrative operations of the benefits office.


  • Welcome participants to the benefits office, take calls from participants, and assess services needed.
  • Visit participants’ work-sites to educate them about their benefits.
  • Ensure participants’ paperwork is submitted correctly and that they have necessary participant cards and other benefits information.
  • Identify and help to solve individual problems in accessing benefits.
  • Provide information and referrals to participants.
  • Assist in handling phone calls, mailings, and incoming email. 
  • Conduct computer data entry.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse staff team.
  • Assist with the coordination of various activities, workshops, and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Associates degree (concentration in social work or community health preferred). 
  • Two years of relevant work experience may substitute for the Associates degree.
  • Must speak, read and write English. Fluency in Haitian Creole strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within diverse communities.
  • Communicating with empathy and without judgement is required.
  • Computer literacy is required. Good customer service skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time employment

Pay: $45,000.00 per year

  • Associates degree (Preferred). 
  • 2 years of relevant work experience may substitute.


  • Customer service, data entry and/or community health promotion experience preferred.
