The Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD) is a nonprofit community development corporation serving the families, residents and businesses of South Los Angeles.  CRCD’s mission is to better sustain, coordinate and improve local planning, development and community services that address the needs of low-income and working-class residents and small business in South LA and other underserved areas.


Founded in 2005 with one contract from the City of Los Angeles.  Today CRCD is a projected $60 million+, multi-faceted organization, with over 100 employees providing workforce development, education, affordable housing and operating several strong social enterprises and real estate centered community development projects that focuses on housing and mixed-use developments. 


Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Director oversees all day-to-day financial management operations including accounting, financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, systems, and compliance functions as CRCD’S #2 financial leader.  In addition, the Finance Director will work closely with  leadership team in developing and implementing sound financial policies, procedures, and   controls;  direct comprehensive staff development and training initiatives; and  enhance financial management information system for CRCD.   


Strong candidates will have finance and accounting expertise (preferably with nonprofit, grant contract management and government accounting and reporting experience), coupled with outstanding people management and interpersonal skills. Three to five years of senior level financial management experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial leadership skills and have a passion for CRCD’s mission and core values, plus a proven track record in building and managing an efficient and effective finance department. 


Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven years relevant experience including three to five years of supervisory experience in a similar size organization.
