The Project Implementation Specialist for the Next Level Initiative will play a crucial role in rolling out key programs and tools to enhance the operational efficiency and financial sustainability of member co-ops. This includes the strategic deployment of innovative systems and processes tailored to cooperative grocery settings. The Project Implementation Specialist will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless integration and effective utilization of these resources. This position will foster growth and drive continuous improvement through aligning with NCG's commitment to advancing the cooperative grocery sector.
This is an ideal position for community-focused, systems-oriented, problem-solvers interested in having a direct impact on the success of food co-ops and their communities. Up to 30% business travel required including overnights and weekends. Diverse applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Collaborate with supervisor to develop and execute plans for the smooth implementation of Next Level programs, focusing on efficiency, ease of adoption, and rapid roll-out timelines.
- Employ strategic change management approaches to accelerate adoption of Next Level programs, maximize alignment, and minimize disruption, discomfort, and defection.
- Work closely with project teams, NCG staff, and member co-ops to ensure successful implementation of programs and solutions, gathering feedback and experiences from members and staff throughout the process.
- Monitor and report on the impact of program implementation on member co-ops, collecting and analyzing data to understand the efficiency gains and improvements achieved.
- Channel member feedback into improving existing programs and identifying areas for additional programs in alignment with the cooperative grocery model.
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in program implementation and management required.
- Extensive experience with cooperative business models and the grocery industry preferred.

Home Office Option: This position is eligible for a home office in the contiguous U.S. if within 100 miles of a major airport and there is sufficient internet bandwidth and mobile phone service for work to be completed efficiently.
Workstation Option: For individuals interested in working from an office, workstations are available in our St. Paul, Minnesota office. St. Paul is part of the major metropolitan area which along with Minneapolis is known as the Twin Cities. The area is known for its excellent parks, bike trails and other outdoor activities; vibrant arts, culture and dining scene; and cultural diversity. Our office is conveniently located between St. Paul and Minneapolis at 2610 University Ave W. There is free parking and the Green Line Light Rail stops at our building (Westgate Station).
