About the Zaban Paradies Center

For 39 years, the Zaban Paradies Center (ZPC) has focused on providing services that strengthen and stabilize couples and families. Our mission is to empower couples experiencing homelessness and financial vulnerability to achieve lasting stability for themselves and their families. We achieve our mission by providing three programs: 1. Residential Services for Homeless Couples; 2. Community Housing Stability Services; and 3. Aftercare and Day Resource Services. ZPC is the only program in the Atlanta metro area that provides couples-focused residential services allowing couples and partners to reside together while transitioning out of homelessness.

 

About the Community and Resident Services Case Manager

The Community and Resident Services Case Manager (CRCM) provides case management and oversight of case management best practices to the resident and community services teams including, but not limited to, guidance related to documentation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and appropriately managing caseloads. The CRCM is committed to promoting a trauma-informed, person-centered environment. This position is responsible for fostering a collaborative approach to meeting ZPC’s mission.

Role and Responsibilities

The primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

Case Management

  • Providing onsite and phone case management for participants in various ZPC programs, such as Rapid Rehousing, and residents in ZPC’s Residential Services Program for Homeless Couples.
  • Working with the Program Services and Data Quality Manager to ensure complete and accurate data that meets CoC Data Quality Standards.
  • Following CoC and best practices case management guidelines to ensure high-quality participant care.

Case Management Oversight and Training

  • Assisting with developing and implementing case management procedures and processes to ensure best practices and trauma-informed care.
  • Along with the Director of Programs, providing training support for program staff to ensure high levels of participant care, ethical case management, and trauma-informed care leading to positive participant outcomes.

Participant Workshops and Groups

  • Assisting with developing and implementing resident and participant workshops and groups designed to increase knowledge and application of life skills, self-care skills, communication skills, and support advocacy skills.
  • Assisting the Director of Programs staff training to effectively facilitate groups and workshops.

Community Supports

  • Assisting with developing community partnerships that help participants to achieve positive stability outcomes.
  • Assisting with creating and maintaining a database of viable partners for participant referrals.
  • Assisting with serving as a liaison between the organization and community partners to coordinate services, exchange information, and advocate for participants.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in the human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, sociology, etc.) plus two years of related experience working with homeless and under-resourced populations. 

• Working knowledge of community resources (i.e., housing, food, emergency finances, employment, education, mental health, substance abuse, etc.) within the Atlanta metro area.

• Knowledge of HMIS(Client Track).

• Ability to follow a Professional Development & Training Plan.

• Must have a personal vehicle, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and appropriate automobile insurance.

Other

Technical expertise in housing, and federal regulations that allow well-informed decisions, usage of available tools and resources, and training to execute job responsibilities

• Accountable for work being completed accurately, timely, and verifiably.

• Ability to collaborate and lead work groups with other staff to ensure best practices and sound decisions

• Ability to communicate using appropriate tone when corresponding verbally or written (as well as proper usage of grammar and spelling)

• Ability to adapt and adjust to the course and be open to new ideas

• Ability to manage workload by having a clear understanding of task/project and set realistic timelines and goals

• Commitment to ZPC’s vision and mission

Schedule

Ability to work onsite and in the community.

• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the participants and programs (including emergency needs). Primary hours range between 11 am – 7 pm. Occasionally later evening and/or weekend hours could be required.
