One Warm Coat is a national cloud-based nonprofit organization that provides free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability. Since 1992, One Warm Coat has facilitated 49,000 coat drives across the country, collecting 8 million coats that have been distributed through more than 1,500 nonprofit partners. Individuals and organizations can get involved by donating coats, holding coat drives, and making financial donations. One Warm Coat believes in each person’s right to shelter from the elements and is committed to sharing warmth, without discrimination, one coat at a time. 

About The Role

The Director of Corporate Partnerships is a leadership position that will report to the President & CEO. This is an excellent opportunity to work remotely for a national non-profit organization with an exciting portfolio of brand partnerships already in place, and the potential for many more. As a member of a small team of dedicated professionals, you will have the opportunity to influence every aspect of corporate giving and make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of people across the country. The salary range is $80K to $90K plus great benefits including health insurance, dental and vision, Simple IRA, life insurance, phone stipend, and a generous PTO policy.

Responsibilities

Solicit and Secure New Corporate Funding / 65%

● Research and identify prospective corporate and foundation funders

● Conduct initial outreach to potential corporate partners

● Secure meetings with potential corporate funders

● Create and submit sponsorship proposals and grant requests

● Achieve assigned corporate and foundation revenue goals

● Track corporate revenue and provide reports

● Identify and solicit new corporate donors for the Coat Drive Program, Crisis Coat Fund, Disaster Relief Program, and Zero Waste Initiative

● Review and update corporate sponsor content on One Warm Coat's website

● Create inbound lead generation through LinkedIn

● Create, manage, and update corporate outreach materials

● Leverage Employee Engagement companies for financial support

● Meet with current and prospective corporate partners virtually and in person

Manage and Steward Existing and New Corporate Donors / 30%

● Manage the onboarding process for new corporate sponsors

● Design a corporate sponsor stewardship plan and provide attentive and appropriate stewardship to existing corporate sponsors

● Track all corporate and foundation donor information in the CRM and in monday.com

● Manage cause marketing partnerships and point-of-sale agreements

● Steward relationships with existing corporate donors to the Zero Waste Initiative and Disaster Relief Program and solicit repeat donations

● Lead the sponsor renewal process

● Create and manage content for a quarterly corporate newsletter

Other Duties / 5%

● Maintain a commitment to and focus on the mission of One Warm Coat: to provide free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability

● Collaborate with the One Warm Coat Team on other projects as needed

Qualifications

• Passion for One Warm Coat's mission and the ability to authentically articulate the mission in a compelling way in both verbal and written communications
• A minimum of 3 years managing corporate fundraising in a nonprofit organization
• Record of success developing overall strategy to build/maintain pipelines and executing through prospecting, relationship building, pitching, and contracting
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Desire to work collaboratively within a small team and willingness to take ownership of a variety of different responsibilities
• Willingness to travel 15%
• Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills that will thrive in a supportive team-focused culture based on creativity and collaboration
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding, and service-oriented environment
• Proficiency adapting to new technologies including CRMs and project management tools
