Program Coordinator

Full time – Temp to hire

Monday thru Friday – 8am to 5pm

$26.70 to $30hr depending on experience.

 

One of the largest human services providers in California, operating a variety of programs to serve the poor, while striving to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives is seeking an energetic, team oriented and hardworking individual to join their team as a Program Coordinator.

 

Summary:  As part of the Opportunities for Youth Program (OFY), the Program Coordinator will lead the navigation of the project. Using person-centered practices, the program navigator supports Unaccompanied Minors and their families in accessing service systems and provides interpretation and advocacy where needed.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develops referral systems to ensure care coordination. Empower youth and their sponsor by teaching adaptive and advocacy skills on an individual and group setting. Maintains updated records, including case management files and reporting databases to ensure confidentiality and compliance with monitoring standards and guidelines. Works collaboratively with the program manager, case managers, youth mentor and family workshop provider. Reports and works under the supervision of the OFY Program Manager. Performs related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social or human services or related field. One to three years in a social service setting or human services experience, preferably working with immigrant populations, unaccompanied minors, at risk youth, or children. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
