Support our newest program, the 3DE high school partnership program. 3DE by Junior Achievement re-engineers public high school education, making schools more relevant, experiential, and authentically connected to the complexities of the real world, more fully preparing today’s students for the demands of tomorrow’s economy.

SUMMARY: Strengthen and sustain our 3DE program at Crenshaw HS by driving and managing the 3DE Technical Assistance plan between JA SoCal, Crenshaw HS and our national partner, 3DE by Junior Achievement. Work on-site at Crenshaw HS on average 3 to 4 days per week in support of 3DE program as well as additional general JA programming at the school. Also work based out of our LA Headquarters office in Burbank on average 1 to 2 days per week, assisting with general JA programming at other schools, primarily in the Crenshaw corridor. The Technical Assistance project is expected to have a one-year project cycle, through December 2024, and the position is expected to have opportunities to grow and evolve as the 3DE Technical Assistance process eventually concludes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive collaboration between the Crenshaw HS Leadership team, JA SoCal and 3DE by JA. 
  • Ensure timelines and milestones of the 3DE Technical Assistance plan at Crenshaw HS are met and that all teams are communicating effectively. Includes regular (3-4 days per week) presence on-site at Crenshaw HS, developing relationships with administrators, teachers and staff relevant to the 3DE plan, driving discussion and reporting about steps being taken to achieve goals.
  • Manage the 11th grade’s participation as the pilot 3DE cohort at Crenshaw HS, which will include the development of a small enterprise in school year 23-24.
  • Manage any volunteer coordination, training, or partner logistics for the 3DE experiences.
  • Recruit and manage general JA programming from Crenshaw HS 9th & 10th grade teachers and from other partner schools in the communities near the Crenshaw neighborhood.
  • Steward existing corporate volunteer relationships and identify new volunteer partners as needed to meet assigned student goals.
  • Develop, elevate, maintain, strengthen, & foster strong relationships with all relevant constituents.
  • Engage in year-round relationship building with assigned accounts.
  • Provide good stewardship to accounts to elevate and retain their support.
  • Tracking projected and verified student participation on internal organizational databases.
  • Enter teacher, school and volunteer constituents and activities into BCRM.
  • Administer pre and/or post evaluation tools to students, teachers and volunteers for select program events.
  • Ensure that any grant funding program delivery expectations in assigned geographic area are fully satisfied, and that all plans are executed, and milestones hit.
  • Write and file programmatic and 3DE funder reports as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Must be willing to work collaboratively as assigned to ensure that all departmental and organizational goals are met and to ensure exceptional quality of student programming, volunteer experience, and community, board, funder and stakeholder engagement.

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years in non-profit work and/or educational settings.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Have a California driver license and reliable transportation that is California insured, for work-related travel throughout the area (mileage reimbursed)
  • Due to our work with schools, must be fully vaccinated, with exceptions for medical requirements or sincerely held religious beliefs
  • Must be able and willing to work in-person on school site and in HQ offices

DESIRED

  • 2+ years’ experience working in underserved educational environment
  • Strong understanding of LAUSD’s calendar, cycles and administrative processes
  • Working knowledge of CRM databases
