Link House, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit, provides a comprehensive evidence-based continuum of care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders (SUD) and/or mental health concerns.

For over 50 years, Link House, Inc. has inspired lives of dignity and good citizenship for thousands of individuals who once struggled with active alcoholism or drug addiction. Its namesake program, the Link House, was established in 1972 in Newburyport. Link House has seven locations within Newburyport, Amesbury, and Salisbury, MA. As an organization, Link House benefits from dynamic relationships with community stakeholders, partnering non-profits, state and federal agencies, local volunteers, and referring treatment professional throughout Boston’s North Shore and Eastern Massachusetts.

Link House’s gender-specific residential programs currently have the capacity to serve 126 individuals. Settings range from structured treatment for men initiating their recovery to long term communal recovery housing for individuals learning to maintain their recovery to transitional housing for participants who have developed a healthy sense of agency toward their individual recovery.

At Link House, Inc., leadership consists of a full-time executive team working in collaboration with an actively engaged governing Board. The Executive Director serves as conduit between the Board of Directors and the Senior Director of Services, Director of Development, Finance Manager, Facilities Manager and Human Resources Specialist.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) is tasked with management of the entire Link House, Inc. operation. The ED oversees the organization’s financial planning and stewardship, fundraising and revenue generation, client services, fiscal stability, risk management, community relations and outreach, regulatory and contract compliance, and workplace productivity and propriety. The ED steers the executive team in service of the organizational mission while simultaneously promoting innovations in programming, the highest standards of evidence-based client care, adherence to best practices in non-profit and human services operation, and responsiveness to emerging community needs.

The traditional candidate possesses an advanced degree from an accredited university, a minimum of five years’ experience managing the operations of a complex organization, and familiarity with the non-profit sector. The candidate’s career trajectory includes current or prior experience in the field of addiction recovery, clinical mental health, human services, or healthcare.

The salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $160,000, commensurate with experience. A bonus for exceptional performance is possible.
