Job Details

Callanwolde is a community arts center and renowned venue located on a historic 12-acre estate in the heart of metro Atlanta. Our mission is to provide the Atlanta community with premier, accessible arts education, especially to the underserved, while promoting enjoyment of the arts at the historic and inspiring Callanwolde estate.

The Marketing Manager is a creative, organized self-starter who drives marketing and outreach strategy for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with directors to develop a strategic marketing plan that supports Callanwolde’s outreach and retention of sponsors, donors, students, prospective employees, and volunteers
  • Manages program campaigns and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to enhance Callanwolde’s marketing strategies
  • Manages marketing systems, including ticket sales, for special events
  • Produces digital and social media content to support Callanwolde’s mission
  • Seeks out public relations opportunities to increase positive media coverage of Callanwolde’s mission
  • Creates and distributes e-blasts, catalogs, reports, signage, and other publications as needed
  • Collaborates with Programs and Development staff to produce and promote special events, including but not limited to summer camps, concerts, fundraisers, art sales, gala, and other organization initiatives

This is a salaried, exempt position with an expected workweek of 40 hours. The anticipated schedule for this position is Monday- Friday from 9am- 5pm. This position is a hybrid schedule, and does require on-site work at the beautiful Callanwolde mansion and grounds five days a week for the first six months and at least 3 days a week after. There is some evening and weekend work required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least three years of professional marketing experience.

  • Digital marketing and content creation, preferably in non-profit setting
  • Online consumer engagement
  • Strategic thinking
  • Social media tools and practices (WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Google Analytics
  • Good AdWords
  • SEO Writing  
  • Photography
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of staff members, volunteers, clients, students, and community leaders
  • Ability to meet deadlines with special attention to detail
  • Experience with public relations is a plus

DeKalb County now owns and maintains the property today, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Callanwolde Foundation has operated the Arts Center since 1983.
