SUMMARY

The Business Manager is responsible for building awareness, driving sales, developing strategies and executing plans for Good Measure Meals (GMM) and Open Hand success. The ideal candidate will possess the skill set to propose strategic business opportunities and drive strategic decisions to completion. The hands-on position will be responsible for growing the program, refining processes, identifying needs and budgeting for each calendar year. The GMM Business Manager will be an excellent communicator and work closely with the Strategic Alliances Manager to develop partnerships and relationships that foster growth for GMM, and Open Hand mission impact. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a face-paced environment, with the ability to manage a team and multiple events at any given time and exemplifies confidence and credibility when speaking to stakeholders about our social impact and distinguishing benefits.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Propose financial sales targets and expense budgets; and maintain through monthly analysis and reporting
  • Understand P&L with ability to manage expenses and expectations accordingly to meet profit goals
  • Responsible for developing marketing strategy through collaboration with marketing team; communicating marketing needs and understanding target markets
  • Responsible for driving & tracking sales daily and keeping a high pulse on marketing performance
  • Cultivating long-term relationships with potential partners and customers, moving them through the sales pipeline
  • Keen understanding of operational capacity to ensure products meet market demand, mission & operational scope.
  • Monitor the quality of the product and service provided & maintain records for quality assurance
  • Maintain current relationships and liaison with current customers, suppliers, building additional sales initiatives
  • Develop and negotiate contracts with customers, assessing their requirements and ensuring they are satisfied with the service delivered
  • Implement new promotions and initiatives that will strengthen the contributions to the sales development strategy
  • Responsible for communicating capacity and resource needs
  • Develop processes and procedures to launch any new, cost-effective products or programs
  • Keep abreast of trends and developments in the industry, such as menus, trends in consumer tastes and management issues
  • Manage staff to ensure alignment with business strategies and core values
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly observed & documented

EDUCATION

  • College Degree in Business, Marketing, or Culinary
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Outside Sales, Food Services, and/or Catering
  • Minimum of 2 year in supervisory position overseeing diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of accomplishments and upward mobility

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to develop correspondence and reports effectively and succinctly. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problem situations in a professional manner.

Valid automobile driver license

Salary: From $70,000.00 per year
