Job Details

We are an Atlanta-based business seeking a FT Client Relations Specialist to join our project team that supports statewide programs for Georgia’s early care and education (ECE) professionals. This 40-hour per week position offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 office days per week; 2 remote days) and supports efficient and accurate program management and daily operations by providing technical assistance and educational counseling to applicants and recipients, processing applications for eligibility; and providing recruitment for the programs at outreach events and conferences around the state of Georgia.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Pay extreme attention to detail with speed and accuracy; be a multi-tasker
  • Exhibit poise and professionalism in working & communicating with customers
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be an outgoing, self-starter 
  • Be a quick learner with ability to absorb information on multiple aspects of required tasks
  • Be accustomed to working in a team environment
  • Possess excellent computer skills; have familiarity with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Be familiar with operating office machines such as copiers, printers, folders, fax machines

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Process applicant information for programmatic eligibility using proprietary data system
  • Provide assistance/training to program applicants via telephone and email on website usage and online application process
  • Screen applicant information and enter data to ensure completeness; contact applicants or perform online research as needed to finalize incomplete applications
  • Educate applicants about terms and eligibility requirements of program participation
  • Prepare mailings and emails for program recertifications; process returned mail
  • Close out non-respondents’ records based on program protocols
  • Coordinate with financial team on funding of program participants; support funding distributions and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate participant records and files on paper and/or inside the data system
  • Provide educational counseling to the ECE workforce to support them in enrolling in higher education, gaining access to financial aid, and completing certifications/degrees to advance their careers 
  • Assist with policy and procedure development; update and maintain documentation
  • Collaborate with technology team to assist with data system enhancements
  • Recruit potential program participants and represent client and ECE community through attendance and presentations at conferences, educational events, and industry meetings
  • Gather and support requests for program outcomes, data reports
  • Support monthly billing, year-end reports, and audit process

Required/Preferred:

  • Must pass a Georgia background check
  • Some college, preferred
  • One to two years in workforce, preferably in customer service or related area, preferred
  • Experience in working with state agencies such as the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and the Department of Human Resources, preferred
