Position Title:  Project Manager, Project Intersect

NOTE: THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION (THROUGH 2026)

Shift: This is a full-time position at 40 hours/week.

Location: Atlanta, GA. This position will be based in our Fulton County office. Some telework may be available after successful onboarding and pending agency needs and supervisor approval.

Salary Range: $50,000 – $58,000/year with full benefits package.

Reports to: Project Director (Clinical Department)

About Georgia Center for Child Advocacy: The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy (GCCA) is a private, non-profit agency that was established in 1987. The Center’s mission is to champion the needs of sexually and severely physically abused children through prevention, intervention, therapy, and collaboration. These services are provided at no cost to children who reside in or were abused in DeKalb or Fulton County. GCCA’s role throughout the criminal investigation is to focus on the child’s needs, rather than focusing on the crime itself.

Position Description: GCCA is seeking an energetic, passionate, and compassionate professional to serve as the Project Manager of Project Intersect, a federally funded program supporting youth who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC), their caregivers, and the systems supporting these families. This position supports the Project Director with the implementation of multiple components of the Project, including training, outreach, and data collection and reporting. Primary responsibilities include the delivery of multiple training and outreach activities, networking, building and sustaining relationships with community partners, coordination with program evaluators, database management and reporting, assistance to the Project Director with grant reports, and other tasks as assigned to support the success of the Project.

Essential duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  1. Conducts trauma-informed training with caregivers, child-serving organizations, and general CSEC awareness as needed and conducts training alone or collaboratively with GCCA team members and partners.
  2. Communicates with new and active Project partners through various methods including email, virtual meetings, conferences, newsletters, etc. to ensure the delivery of all Project goals.
  3. Maintains training rosters and conducts follow-up with participants as needed and prescribed by the training curriculum.
  4. Coordinates with program evaluation team regarding the collection and reporting of data.
  5. Maintains proper and timely documentation of project activities, including database management, quarterly tracking of grant goals, and provides assistance to the Project Director with grant report writing as needed.
  6. Adheres to all ethical, professional, and agency standards regarding appropriate conduct including but not limited to records maintenance, confidentiality, and human subjects.
  7. Maintains ethical and effective communication and collaboration with partnering organizations regarding the goals, objectives, and activities of the project and project participants.
  8. Completes other tasks as assigned to support the success of the project.

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of a Master’s degree required in Social Work, Mental Health, Public Health, Psychology or related field.
  2. Minimum of 3-years’ experience in similar role providing training/project management functions and database management/collection.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge, experience, and understanding of the issues surrounding child abuse, trauma, human trafficking, sexual exploitation.
  2. Experience with training, outreach, and public speaking.
  3. Ability to work some weekends and evenings as required.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Works effectively in a team environment.
  6. Excellent networking and outreach skills with the ability to clearly present program goals and to work collaboratively with diverse staff/team/volunteers/clients across lines of race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability.
  7. Skilled at developing and maintaining collaborative and trusting relationships.  
  8. Organized and efficient, excellent records maintenance, is detail oriented, works independently.
  9. Local and state travel is required: must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation:

GCCA offers a competitive annual salary within the range of $50,000 - $58,000, commensurate with experience. GCCA also offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; 10 paid holidays, 4 self-care days, 401k and company matching; and vacation/sick leave benefits as well as professional development opportunities. The Center provides a safe, friendly place where a child can end their silence by telling a trained therapist about the abuse during a videotaped interview. In addition, children and families are offered long-term psychological treatment to provide healing and hope for the future.  The Center coordinates with agencies involved in the investigation of physical and sexual abuse and offers education for professionals and adults in sexual abuse prevention.

Through a partnership with Darkness to Light, the Center is leading a statewide inititiative to educate adults across Georgia to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Our vision is a community without child abuse where every child feels safe.  We work towards this by:

  • Taking the leadership role in Fulton and DeKalb Counties in facilitating collaboration, communication, and appropriate case coordination and management in both sexual and severe physical abuse cases and
  • Developing and building co-located facilities in which social and medical services, law enforcement and prosecutorial resources work together in close proximity, and
  • Providing professional and timely forensic services and psychotherapy at no cost to child victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse and child witnesses to homicide, and
  • Providing training to professionals and expert testimony in court cases, and
  • Training adults through a statewide initiative to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
