Operations Team

The Operations Team supports NCYL staff across locations. We hold ourselves to a high standard and are dedicated to providing exceptional support and being a strategic, innovative, and agile team. We build and maintain organization infrastructure, practices and systems that are efficient, equitable and compliant. The Operations team consists of IT, HR, finance, facilities and legal compliance.

Position

The Technology Coordinator position reports to and assists the Deputy Director of IT in supporting a 100-person organization, and will be a member of NCYL’s fun loving, energetic Operations Team. This role will support NCYL’s work and staff across all projects and locations. This position will have a wide-ranging set of responsibilities within the IT department.

This is not a workstation or network support position, but a position that supports applications and technology used within NCYL.

The position is an opportunity to learn a variety of platforms, manage data, improve processes, participate in IT projects, and support staff in variety of requests. It requires a person with a high technical aptitude, who is extremely detail oriented, and has exceptional follow-through.

Essential Functions

  • Manage data in web-based platforms like AirTable and Salesforce
  • Manage user licensing in a wide variety of platforms
  • Manage phone systems, user adds/changes; manage corporate Verizon account
  • Play a supporting role in various IT projects
  • Order equipment for staff
  • Help manage technical aspects of onboarding and offboarding staff
  • Interface with our Managed Service Provider and other vendors as needed
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Train staff on various applications and technologies
  • Update both external website and our intranet
  • Other day-to-day IT tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • At least 4-5 years of experience supporting various technology platforms
  • One year’s experience with Salesforce as either a power user or administrator
  • Experience managing detailed data and improving/creating ways to help manage that data
  • Experience with Macs, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 a plus
  • Experience with AirTable a plus
  • Ability and comfort in holding training sessions for groups of users on our platforms and applications
  • Experience working in a position that supports a large number of staff a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work autonomously and perform in a team environment
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to move projects forward

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This position may require some travel.

Salary, Benefits & Location

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Salary is competitive at $92,310.00 annually.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of our Oakland office. This is a hybrid position, working mostly from home, but must be able to go into the Oakland office as needed. If preferred, this position can work full time from our Oakland office. It is possible that starting in January of 2024, NCYL will require all staff to work in an NCYL office, in which case this position will work from our Oakland office.
