Job Title: Child Sponsorship Program Administrator

Location: In-Office Position, Marietta, GA (East Cobb)

Hours: Flexible between 8:30am and 5:30pm EST, Monday through Friday

Deadline: Two part-time openings (16-24 hours each); open until filled

Job Summary:

The ultimate fit will be an administratively skilled, detail-oriented person with excellent writing and customer service skills who is ready to make a real impact on the world through educating and empowering vulnerable children.

The Child Sponsorship Program Administrator serves our partners, their sponsors and our donors. This position will report to the Director of Programs. Due to the highly cooperative nature of our work, this position does not have a remote/work from home option. This is a part-time position (flexible from 16 to 24 hours per week).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

20% Partner Relations

  • Become familiar with all of BrightPoint’s partner organizations to understand each partner’s objectives and programs in order to convey accurate information
  • Oversee tasks related to the annual calendar
  • Prepare and ship event packets and other materials that support partner sponsorship activities
  • Set up campaigns for trips and events in Salesforce
  • Work with the team to brainstorm creative and innovative ways to encourage our partners to recruit and engage sponsors
  • Periodically attend partner fundraising events or local activities as needed (evenings and weekends)

50% Sponsor Support

  • Serve as initial point of contact for sponsor inquiries, manage difficult or emotional situations and respond to sponsor requests both over the phone and through email with a high degree of professionalism, courtesy and confidentiality according to our stated service levels and outlined processes
  • Facilitate communication between sponsors and children by coordinating letter writing activities, requests for sponsor letters and tracking all sponsor and child touchpoints (letters, visits, video and photo updates) in Salesforce
  • Prepare and periodically update child letter templates so they are fresh and engaging
  • Receive and prepare child updates in order to share those with sponsors

30% Communications

  • Assist with the writing and editing of content for our sponsor and donor community (including child profiles, donor updates and the yearend annual report) Upload and edit blog articles or other content related to our subject matter Timely acknowledgment of donor gifts

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of maturity and personal integrity with ability to use good judgment in dealing with confidential material
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Computer skills needed (or willingness to learn) include the Microsoft Office suite of products as well as photo and video editing software and database management
  • Experience with any of the following will be an asset - Salesforce, WordPress, HTML, InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Grammarly and QR code creation
  • Experience in any of the following fields will be an asset - administration, project management, marketing, communications, customer service or nonprofit
  • Cross-cultural understanding and experience with international mission trips to developing countries is helpful
  • Proficiency in Spanish is not required but would be an asset
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads or SEO is not required but would be an asset
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be a legal resident of the United States of America

Environmental Demands:

This position does not require unusual ability; however, periodic lifting of boxes, duffle bags, and suitcases weighing up to 50 pounds is necessary. Access to the office, located on the second floor, is an essential function of this job. There is no elevator in the building.
