                                                          Volunteer Coordinator

Location: NCCPA is a hybrid work environment with our headquarters located in Johns Creek, Georgia. NCCPA has determined that the telecommuting status of this position is hybrid which means that employees in hybrid positions are allowed to split their work hours between work remotely and working onsite at the NCCPA headquarters. This position does require a willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Established as a not-for-profit organization in 1975, we are dedicated to assuring the public that certified PAs meet established standards of clinical knowledge and cognitive skills upon entry into practice and throughout their careers. All U.S. states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories have decided to rely on NCCPA certification as one of the criteria for licensure or regulation of PAs.

Why Us, Why Now?

As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will support exam related initiatives. You will be responsible for gathering meeting requirements, developing volunteer roster, and collecting volunteer documentation. 

How Will You Make a Difference? You will…

  • Assist with travel logistics including occasional prescheduled weekend coverage and day-of meeting support as needed. 

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with volunteer pool. 

  • Utilize project tracking software to ensure recruitment and meeting support tasks are completed according to schedule and expected professional standards. 

  • Assist with other departmental administrative and reporting functions as needed. 

  • Prepare resources for meetings including name tags, tent cards, Subject Matter Expert folders, etc. 

  • Submit all necessary support requests – catering, honoraria, IT help desk tickets, travel services, etc.   

  • Draft communication emails and provide telephone and video conference support. 

  • Recruit, evaluate, and propose volunteer rosters in accordance with meeting specifications and operational requirements for manager approval as assigned. 

Hard Skills You Will Have

  • Associate's degree   
  • A minimum of two years professional experience in a related office support or administrative role 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications especially in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.  

Soft Skills You Will Bring

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks/projects, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Your excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and consensus building skills

  • Willingness and availability to occasionally work extended hours and on the weekends. 

Extra Skills You Can Bring Along

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Proficiency working with Wrike as a project management and tracking software tool  
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools 
  • Experience with a testing organization
