Minister of Music and Arts

The Minister of Music and Arts will lead and guide musicians and artists and assist in the worship planning process. The primary objective is to support the vision of Cascade United Methodist Church through the worship experience at every service and event.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in collaboration with the Senior Pastor to set the vision for music, worship, and arts.

• Able to administer and coordinate the entire music program at both locations.

• Prepare music for Sunday services and other special services and events.

• Ensure that choirs, praise dancers, and instrumental groups have competent leadership.

• Oversee the hiring of the music staff.

• Evaluate the performance of the music staff.

• Prepare and present reports to the Executive Board as scheduled.

• Prepare and manage the Music and Arts Ministry budget.

• Facilitate maintenance and usage of musical instruments and equipment.

• Counsel brides to select music for weddings.

• Collaborate with the Celebration of Life Ministry leaders and bereaved families to select music for funerals.

• Counsel, arrange, and provide music for special projects, ministries, and other church-related activities in cooperation with appropriate individuals or groups.

• Direct at least one music group and lead congregational singing.

• Supervise the work of all music leaders in the music programs, and delegate work and responsibility as needed.

• Provide music materials, dance attire, supplies, instruments, and other music equipment for  church programs.

• Provide leadership and support to the Worship Division.

• Meet with Ministry Chairpersons as needed.

• Assist Associate Pastors with planning Sunday worship services, revivals, and other special services.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
