Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Reports To: Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)
Status: Exempt
Location: Mableton Business Center (Hybrid)
Salary: $75K-$82,500K

Under general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the HR Manager directly supervises a full-time HR Specialist. He/She will perform and assist in the following areas: recruitment and selection; classification and compensation; implementation of policies and procedures; employee relations; benefits; training; compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; other administrative duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a business partner to Managers, Senior Leadership, Executive Committee, and C-Suite.
- Partners with the CAO on all human resources matters, including employee relations, recruiting and retention strategies, and employee development.
- Conducts full-cycle recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.
- Counsels’ leaders and employees on human resources polices, programs, performance managements, and disciplinary actions.
- Analyzes data and reports that monitor and measure Human Resources’ effectiveness.
- Assists and advises departments in recruitment and selection of employees.
- Develops or assists in the development of recruitment strategies and materials, selection instruments and techniques.
- Attends meetings/hearings, advises staff, prepares reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
- Assists in the preparation and filing of reports as required to be filed by federal or state law.
- Reviews Personnel Action Forms for legal and procedural compliance and authorizes actions.
- May represent the Council, or otherwise attend hearings or other administrative proceedings, as necessary.
- Upon request, or as necessary to expedite a resolution, may participate in conflict resolution between an employee and supervisor.
- Maintains personnel records, Human Resources Information System records and compiles reports from database.
- Analyzes wage and salary data to make recommendations for competitive compensation plan.
- Maintains confidentiality of all personnel matters, as appropriate.
- Keeps CAO apprised of all communications, correspondence, projects, disputes, and other activities that he/she is aware of and/or working on.
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Responsible for knowing and abiding by all department and Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta policies and procedures and work in the spirit of the Girl Scout promise and law.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must have a knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources administration, including but not limited to, federal and state employment laws.
- Change management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Successful track record identifying and providing human resources solutions and counsel.
- Must be able to develop and manage projects and deliver measurable impact.
- Must be able to:
- Establish and maintain working relationships with others.
- Obtain and maintain the confidence and cooperation of others.

- Use independent judgment to research problems, analyze data and prepare thorough investigative and other written reports using proper grammar.
- Microsoft Office proficiencies (including PowerPoint, Access, Excel)
- Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff as well as volunteers
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work well with a team and independently
- Ability to meet designated deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors’ degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent, plus two to five years related experience; or High School diploma or equivalent plus three to five years related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) is preferred.
