This position is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training and development programs as well as conferences and seminars.
- Coordinates and maintains the scheduling of training facilities, training, conference registrations, resources, exhibitors, and training instructors.
- Provides technical and/or administrative assistance to agencies regarding executive leadership/development and training.
- Identifies, develops, and monitors the use of subject matter experts who provide curricular and instructional content for training courses.
- Communicates with diverse audiences to provide information and clarification regarding training programs, actions, policies, and procedures.
- Develops an on-going resource pool of skilled instructors for training programs and/or conferences/seminars.
- Attends planning meetings and networks with law enforcement trainers throughout Georgia and the U.S.
- Updates GA POST training records and ensures that all records of training activities are maintained.
- Assists with other GACP functions as assigned.

- Training or instructional strategies and methodologies;
- Principles and practices of adult learning and continuing education requirements/mandates;
- Current training and development trends and resources;
- Program and project management techniques;
- Fair use principles and copyright restrictions regarding the development and delivery of training programs.
