Inner City Law Center (ICLC) is a nonprofit law firm on Skid Row. We are looking for extraordinary people to help us end homelessness in Los Angeles. Founded on the fundamental principle that every person should always be treated with dignity and respect, ICLC fights for justice for low-income tenants, working-poor families, people who have disabilities or are experiencing homelessness, people living with HIV/AIDS, and homeless veterans.

Position Description: Inner City Law Center seeks a Project Coordinator to provide support to our Homeless Veterans Project. The Project Coordinator will track and ensure compliance with requirements of our government grants, prepare monthly grant reports, assist in developing team-wide systems for reporting and deliverables, and identify ways to optimize the team’s intake and other procedures. The Project Coordinator should be comfortable with compiling large amounts of data and organizing aggregate data into reader-friendly reports.

The Project Coordinator will also communicate with partner agencies and serve as the entry point for all incoming client referrals to track them for scheduling and grant deliverable purposes. They will provide administrative support to the team’s attorneys and paralegals by requesting records from government agencies, hospitals, jails/prisons and other institutions, and being thorough in their follow-up. In addition, the Project Coordinator will audit, update, and maintain our case management and electronic filing system. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

The position is designed to help the project’s Directing and Supervising Attorneys with efficient administration of the team and will assist them with other specific duties as the needs of the team change. As this is a dynamic project, the Project Coordinator will be expected and encouraged to help the team develop and improve its systems for carrying out its work in a more efficient and effective manner.

Hiring Criteria: Commitment to ICLC’s mission and values. Able to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively— both orally and in writing. Outstanding attention to detail and highly organized. Strong computer and data-entry skills, including internet, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Demonstrated ability to organize large amounts of data. Ability to work well with all levels of personnel and support the team’s needs. Self-motivated, willing to learn, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to exercise sound independent judgment. Veteran status a plus. Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience.

Compensation: Hourly compensation ranges from $24.04 – $33.00, depending on experience. Excellent benefits.

How to Apply: Cover letters and resumes are reviewed upon receipt and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing interest in the position directly at www.innercitylaw.org/join-our-team. Applications will not be considered if both resume and cover letter are not provided.

ICLC is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, transgender status, age, disability, marital status, or medical condition. All qualified applicants with criminal histories shall be considered in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.
