Kidz2Leaders (K2L) is a nonprofit ministry that exists to break the cycle of incarceration by providing stability, opportunity, and a Christian community for children of inmates and their families. We help them rise above their circumstances, teach them to become leaders, and provide a life of hope through Christ-centered programming in a loving environment. Camp Hope, an annual, six-day overnight camp, begins at age eight and is the entry point into more than a decade of program opportunities for our youth. The program continuum expands to include leadership development, career and life skills training, higher education scholarships, individual mentoring, an alumni community, and family support services. 

This seasonal position (March through July) will assist with Camp Hope planning and preparation and will help facilitate two one-week camp sessions. This person may also assist with other summer programs/events as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Support the recruitment and registration of new and returning Camp Hope campers and volunteers.
• Assist with volunteer screening, including interviews, background checks, abuse prevention training, etc.
• Work with the Camp Programs Manager to inventory, organize, and order supplies for summer programs.
• Help coordinate transportation to and from summer programs for participants.
• Provide administrative support to K2L staff team including answering phones, data entry, helping with mailings, etc.

Qualifications:

• Experience with camping programs or working with a non-profit is preferred.
• Organized, timely, exceptional communication skills.
• Computer skills in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, database, E-mail, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Must have the ability to communicate with all persons in a culturally competent manner.
• Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Willingness to work in-person in the K2L office in Marietta/East Cobb.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends to support program implementation.
• Willingness to embrace and abide by K2L’s Statement of Faith.
