Camp Twin Lakes (CTL) is a nonprofit organization that offers year-round recreational, therapeutic, and educational programs annually for more than 10,000 children and young adults facing serious illnesses, disabilities, and challenges. Summary:
The Marketing & Communications Specialist will report directly to the Chief Development Officer. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will oversee CTL’s marketing and communications efforts, including managing the CTL website, providing guidance over social media platforms, digital communications, print needs, and fundraising events.

The Specialist will provide support for the development team, including creating timelines, content, and materials for all fundraising events and campaigns. Additionally, this position will support Camp’s programming team with their marketing and communications needs.

The primary function of this role is to write content for Camp's marketing outlets including website, annual reports, newsletters, press releases, and community engagement tactics. Secondly, this position will design visual content and assets for our marketing purposes. The ideal candidate will love all aspects of marketing, including collecting content, crafting a compelling message, designing visually impactful content and constructing well rounded marketing campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Please note: other duties may be assigned based on the needs of Camp Twin Lakes.

  • Create and manage annual communication calendar
  • Execute marketing strategies for annual fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Collaborate with team to collect content to be shared with key stakeholders.
  • Write and design communications to support fundraising goals and enhance brand awareness.
  • Manage and update all CTL websites.
  • Write copy and design collateral for campaigns, events, and other fundraising and program needs.
  • Maintain and enhance brand integrity with staff, media, partners, and supporters.
  • Monitor and seek opportunities for CTL and camp partners in media.
  • Explore and pursue cause marketing efforts to support fundraising goals and enhance brand awareness.
  • Provide interdepartmental support for marketing and communications special projects.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years related experience.
  • Proven experience, knowledge and proficiency in marketing strategy and communication planning.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills
  • Proven design and copywriting skills.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills, with ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • A team player that routinely works collaboratively and exhibits a high degree of professionalism.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Suite, WordPress, Canva and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SalesForce and Pardot preferred
  • Ability to work some nights or weekends as needed.
