POSITION SUMMARY  

The Associate Manager position at Coxe Curry & Associates is responsible for supporting Managers and Directors with daily operations related to client engagements as well as building relationships and fulfilling client needs. The position provides an in-depth look at the nonprofit community in Atlanta, expands knowledge about the impact of public-private partnerships, and enhances the understanding of ways to leverage corporate and private philanthropy for the benefit of the community. A strong interest in civic and community engagement is central to the work and experience in this role.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

The Associate Manager is responsible for providing assistance to Managers and Directors in order to further productivity, organization, and client service. These operational tasks include: 

  • Supporting and facilitating the organization, planning and execution of client engagements including but not limited to feasibility studies, development assessments and fundraising campaigns  
  • Conducting client and prospect research (includes use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 software database), and submitting requests to the Advancement Services department, as necessary 
  • Writing, editing, and preparing, grant proposals, final reports, and associated exhibit materials as well as drafting talking points for client’s conversations with donors as directed or advised 
  • Working with administrative staff to schedule internal and external meetings 
  • Maintaining client records and keeping both the internal and client team up to date 
  • Completing administrative tasks, including but not limited to: keeping digital files (and hard copy records, when appropriate); assembling meeting packets/pdfs; making labels/tabs; and printing, copying, binding, when needed 
  • Taking meticulous notes for the purpose of creating and maintaining Action Steps and other tracking documents 
  • Making client contact as necessary  
  • Providing coordination and staffing support at client and firm events 

 

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

The minimum requirements to assume an Associate Manager position are as follows: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years relevant project management, fundraising and/or nonprofit experience 
  • General administrative experience 
  • Computer skills—Microsoft Office System including products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Discretion with confidential information 
  • Excellent written communication skills 
  • Excellent oral communication skills 
  • Ability to interact with people and maintain a positive attitude 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Able to balance competing priorities and follow-through/ follow-on the progress and completion of assignments/tasks 
  • Organized 
  • Timely 
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work with a team
