nccPA Health Foundation History and Mission

Incorporated as a 501(c)3 supporting organization of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in 2005, the NCCPA Foundation began operations in March of the following year.  In 2012, the organization adopted a new name – nccPA Health Foundation – and mission to advance the role of certified PAs to improve health.  The generous support of the NCCPA enables the Health Foundation (www.nccpahealthfoundation.net) to pursue its mission while promoting the PA profession, benefiting patients, and fostering collaborations for a healthier future. As our work develops, we are seeking a Program Administrator to join the Health Foundation team.

The Foundation team works diligently to execute multiple processes and projects in the areas of communications/marketing, grant administration, governance and administrative support, and research aligned with the Health Foundation’s strategic initiatives. This list goes on...

Why Us, Why Now?

As the Foundation Program Administrator, you will have close partnership with the Managing Director as well as interaction with the CEO and Board of Directors.  The position requires a self-starter with diverse experience, attention to detail, and the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.  

How Will You Make a Difference? You will…

  • Collaborates with Managing Director and others, as needed, to lead and implement all marketing and communications strategies to promote Health Foundation programming  

  • Leads development of dynamic web content to enhance online presence. Populates and manages the website resource center.  

  • Supports the Health Foundation exhibit booths for AAPA and PAEA conferences and other events, as directed.  

  • Maintains currency of the Health Foundation intranet page.

  • Conducts comprehensive initial application review and provides relevant, succinct, and timely formative feedback to applicants.  

  • Participates in Board and workgroup meetings/calls with primary accountability for producing succinct, accurate, and timely notes to support preparation of minutes and workgroup operational plans.

Hard Skills You Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience interacting effectively with stakeholders at all levels from Managing Director to CEO and Board of Directors.  
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.   

Soft Skills You Will Bring

  • Superior organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Two or more years of experience with web-based and social media platforms.   
  • Exposure and willingness to learn SharePoint.  
  • Critical thinking skills as demonstrated by compiling research/data mining into actionable processes/initiatives. 
  • Your ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with various levels of staff, vendors, and other NCCPA stakeholders. 

Extra Skills You Can Bring Along

  • Three years of experience working in a non-profit organization
  • Communication background.
  • Two or more years of managing small grants programs.    
  • Two or more years of managing multiple projects.  
  • Experience with WordPress websites and readiness to expand skills.
