Job Description
- Conduct Weekly State Certified Men’s Group
- Coordinate language access, record group fees and keep files on all Men’s Group participants
- Keep constant communication with probation and compliance officers for men enrolled in Men’s Group
- Keep up-to date with all State Certification Requirements
- Attend Georgia Commision on Family Violence mandatory FVIP trainings
- Attend DeKalb County domestic violence task force meetings
- Recruit volunteers for programs needs
- Support domestic violence program director and advocates with providing resources needed for survivors (including but not limited to donations pick-up coordination)
- Provide information and referrals about legal resources and other community resources to Men’s group participants.
- Work closely with Burmese and Congolese communities to recruit men and engage them in the grant proposed and approved activities.
- Providing lectures/ sessions for adult male using pre-developed curriculum,
- Provide the provision of technical assistance to group participants in the development of outreach material created by refugee and immigrant men and youth participants
- Adhere to organization policies and work rules, including confidentiality and code of ethics.
- Conduct trainings and outreach activities in the refugee and immigrant communities.
- Keep detailed records of all activities provided.
- Coordinate volunteer activities and report monthly volunteer activities
- Coordinate additional program reporting on a monthly, quarterly and semiannual basis as required
Qualifications:
- Family Violence Intervention Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of issues of refugee and immigrant victims of domestic violence
- Organizational and networking skills
- Bilingual required (Burmese, Chin, Spanish, Congolese)
- Writing skills
- Public speaking skills
- Knowledge of criminal justice system a plus
- Familiarity with Word Excel and PowerPoint
Salary based on experience: $ 37,000-43,000
