JF&CS is now seeking a Part Time CAG Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide health care oversight and management, and documentation to maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures, Developmental Disabilities Medicaid waiver services, CARF standards and all regulations for clients in the Community Access Group aka the Day Supports program.

  • Provide health and wellness assistance to CAG/Day Program clients, including direct assistance with all activities of daily living, toileting, changing and at mealtimes.
  • Support PM with assessment of ratios.
  • Attend Individual Service Plan meetings for clients.
  • Support and assist in-service trainings as needed for staff.
  • Support PM and RN with quarterly review of clients’ files to ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing bodies.
  • Provide Division Nurse with current data of clients’ care plan, physicals and behavior status/changes, as requested.
  • Support efforts to ensure appropriate screening and testing of clients for infections.
  • Support efforts to mitigate spread of COVID-19 and support implementation of health and safety measures.
  • Assist in all aspects of maintaining compliance with all regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and execution of Continuous Quality Improvement processes and strategies.
  • Participate in training of Direct Support Professionals to reinforce PCA, CPR and all required Relias training courses.

  • Current Georgia License or certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely case notes according to standards and regulations
  • Ability to be a strong team player
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Computer skills with Micro Soft Office programs
  • Ability to work flexible schedule.
  • Ability to transport clients, using personal vehicle.
  • Georgia driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.

Noise level can get to moderate range with the rate of activities among clients. Standing and/or moving within the CAG site for up to 50% of the day.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, run, listen, smell, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision and the ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN).
  • Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Current Georgia licensure or certification as a CNA.
  • Computer proficiency.

COVID-19 VACCINATION MANDATE:

Where permitted by applicable law, the applicant must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the date of hire to be considered for employment. The booster requirement must be met 30 days after you become eligible, and proof of booster must be provided to Human Resources.
