Centennial State Prosperity - Legislative Policy Fellow 2022-2023
Position Overview
Centennial State Prosperity seeks a Legislative Policy Fellow for the 2023 Colorado Legislative Session to assist with passing economic security legislation in Colorado.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Helping develop policy and tracking legislation through the process.
- Managing relationships with other organizations and involving them to support legislation.
- Conducting and assembling research to support legislative efforts.
- Tracking implementation process of laws.
- Assisting community advocates to engage with the legislative process.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with issue, legislative, or related advocacy field.
- Analytical skills/thinking.
- Community and equity minded.
- Strong interest in advancing economic security legislation.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
- Collaborative, team player, communicates well.
This is a paid position of $22 an hour beginning in December or early January and concluding in May (5-6 months) with an expectation of 25-30 hours a week either remote or in our office located in downtown Denver near the Colorado State Capitol.
