We currently are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist at our Los Angeles Center.

This position is responsible for:

  • Responsible for installing, monitoring, and maintaining operating systems, printers, servers, responsible for the setup of hardware and software for onboarding and offboarding employees including computer resets and reconfiguration, upgrading, and installing software and backing up files from previous employees.
  • Troubleshoots server and system problems. Investigates and resolves issues by installing and applying individual, permanent temporary fixes (PTF), cumulative or group fixes as appropriate. Documents solutions to problems.
  • Configures, installs, and supports systems for users, including desktop support and peripheral equipment.
  • End user support, both in person and utilizing remote management tools.
  • Hardware maintenance and support including hardware failure recovery and upgrades of RAM, and hard drives. Provides technical advice to users.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends new or upgraded system software, hardware and utilities to maximize system efficiencies.
  • Maintains current knowledge of various operating systems, servers, and related utilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
  • Position requires a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration/Desktop Support in an Outlook and Windows 10 environment.
  • Experience with PC/MAC configuration, OKTA and desktop support ticketing systems also preferred.
  • Position requires experience with software as a service (SaaS) and other software hosting protocols, excellent verbal and written communication skills, good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, able to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Position requires experience in providing professional and courteous customer service.
  • Knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking preferred.
  • Basic network settings on desktop environments a plus.
