Hours: Part-time 20hrs/week, hybrid office/remote

Currently in a multi-year growth phase, The Georgia Justice Project seeks a Part-Time Development Associate to assist the Development Team leverage revenue opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing donors. The Development Associate will be responsible for providing general administrative support to the fundraising program with a focus on gift acknowledgement, data entry and quality control, and deliverable tracking.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Development Associate supports GJP’s ability to engage our individual donors and sponsors to fulfill our mission. The Development Associate will work alongside the Development Team in the management and execution of all development-related activities, with a specific focus on day-to-day database management and acknowledgments, as well as event support throughout the year, with a focus on the Grass Roots Justice Awards (GRJA) in the spring. The role is a HIGH TRUST position that requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive can-do attitude. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who wants to grow their experience in event planning and the Salesforce database.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day data donation entries into Salesforce database and corresponding donor acknowledgment letters. (70%)
- Support the Development Team in all aspects of special events, with a focus on the GRJA, including pre- and post-event planning, entering and tracking donors in Salesforce database, creating thank you letters, etc. (15%)
- Coordinate with finance department to reconcile records in Salesforce and Quickbooks. Maintain records for and assist with annual audit preparation. Opportunity to grow through inter-departmental work and through admin support of the capital campaign. (10%)
- Provide support for additional development-related administrative tasks (lists, reports etc.). (5%)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Video Conferencing Tech (Zoom, Teams, etc.), and CRM. Salesforce experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to engage well with diverse groups of people Experience with Events, Capital Campaigns, or Corporate Partnerships a plus.

GJP offers PT employees pro-rated PTO, immediate 3% match and vesting in the retirement plan, and a hybrid in-office/home schedule. Salary range is $20-$24/hr depending on experience. 20 hrs a week.
