About the Organization and Role: Wisconsin Community Services is a nonprofit human service organization that addresses the individual and systemic barriers that prevent many in our communities from leading productive and healthy lives. WCS provides access to a continuum of support services for individuals facing challenges with justice system involvement and unmet behavioral health needs, guiding them as they bridge the gap between where they are today and where they would like to be. WCS is a well-established and well-intentioned organization that has been providing services to the Milwaukee metropolitan area for over 110 years! The Multi-Systemic Therapy Family Integrated Transitions (MST-FIT) Coach is responsible for providing intensive family and community-based treatment to children and their families enrolled in services through the Milwaukee County Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). The MST-FIT Coach serves boys 13-17 years old who are transitioning back into the community from a youth residential care center, Bakari Center. MST-FIT begins providing treatment and services to the youth and their family while the youth is residing at Bakari Center and continues when the youth return to the community during aftercare. The MST-FIT model promotes behavior change in the youth’s natural environment, using the strengths of the youth, family, and others involved in the youth’s support system. The MST model promotes personal responsibility, education, work ethic, and community responsibility and is in 15 countries 34 states with over 2,500 clinicians Your Contribution to the Team:

Conduct MST-FIT assessment including a review of internal information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying strengths and areas of need, and developing an analysis of the fit or problem behaviors within the ecological context.

Engage the primary caregiver and the youth’s support system, including staff from Bakari Center, DYFS, and Wraparound Milwaukee in active change-oriented treatment by overcoming barriers to engagement.

Embrace Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and other treatment aspects that are initiated at Bakari Center and collaborate with the Bakari Center staff to have regular youth and caregiver contact as part of the initial treatment.

Implement a needs conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review, and strategy revision procedure using the MST analytical process.

Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts and promote peer and supervisory review and feedback that demonstrates compliance with the 9 MST principles, MST analytical process, DBT concepts, and Motivational Interviewing strategies.

Collaborate with all systems (i.e. Wraparound Milwaukee, DYFS, Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services) to ensure communication, case planning, and collaboration.

Provide individual and family clinical treatment models aligned with the MST principles and practices.

Participate in MST-FIT training, supervision, and consultation.

Embrace the Integrated Treatment Model being implemented at Bakari Center to support the success of the youth being served.

Document all progress notes in SecurManage.

Provide care coordination as needed to access additional services to support the youth and caregiver (i.e. mental health, housing, prevention services, etc.)

Develop and submit weekly updates of each family being served to the program supervisor.

Must be available 24/7 on call for youth and caregivers during their scheduled on-call rotation (required one week of the month).

Uphold and promote a positive and supportive culture.

Maintain confidentiality within all written and verbal communications.

Adhere to state licensing requirements.

Adhere to WCS Policies and Procedures.

Minimal Qualifications:

Master's degree in a social or behavioral science field required

Minimum of two (2) years of experience serving youth and families

Working knowledge of computer applications preferred (Windows and Microsoft Word).

Ability to display cultural competence by responding respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions and other diversity factors in a manner that recognizes, affirms and values the worth of each person.

Knowledgeable of Trauma Informed Care and strength-based service delivery systems.

Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple complex tasks, strong professional communication, and teamwork.

Valid driver’s license, automobile, and auto insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements.

Meet all the employee requirements including references, criminal and caregiver background checks, drug screen, and driver’s license check.

License as an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred, but not required.

Experience with DBT, CBT, MST and/or MST-FIT preferred. Training provided.

Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination with a combination of 2 of the following; CDC vaccination card, Immunization Registry, Doctor's Verification (showing 2 Pfizer and/or Moderna vaccinations or 1 Johnson & Johnson plus a booster).
