Noor Family Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides legal and support services to victims of domestic violence in underrepresented communities in the metro Atlanta area.  We are seeking a Case Manager to work directly with clients. 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Case Manager will do client intake and manage the provision of client services.  The CM will coordinate with the legal services staff to provide referrals to clients and will follow up with clients to ensure that they have necessary services.   

QUALIFICATIONS AND RECOMMENDED KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field 
  • 2-4 years work experience in social services 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of domestic violence, an understanding of related issues, and a commitment to ending violence against women.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision and attain goals and objectives set forth by grant descriptions.  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, evaluate progress, and adjust activities to complete work within established timeframes, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative relations with a diversity of individuals.  
  • Professional attitude and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  
  • Typing and computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.  
  • Access to reliable transportation, valid Georgia driver’s license, clean motor vehicle report; willingness to travel locally as needs arise.  
  • Satisfactory criminal background check. 
  • Second language a plus. 

Responsibilities 

  • Opening and closing protocols: the CM is responsible for all tasks associated with opening and closing the office on his/ her assigned works days. 
  • Answer incoming calls and complete intake forms for new clients and clients referred by other agencies and prepare safety plan and lethality assessment. 
  • Give information or make referrals as needed by client. 
  • Work with clients to explain policies, protocols, forms, etc. 
  • Periodically follow up with clients and communicate with NFS teams to ensure provision of necessary services to clients. 
  • Coordinate with clients to find shelters and secure emergency housing, if necessary and to provide rental assistance as appropriate. 
  • Assist clients in applying for government subsidies. 
  • Prepare quarterly reports and collect and analyze demographic and statistical client data. 
  • Maintain case notes, files, and other documents in accordance with NFS confidentiality policies. 
  • Attend all scheduled meetings as directed by Executive Director including weekly staff meetings; prepare minutes for staff meetings and circulate to all staff. 
  • Attend on-site /web-based continuing training and attend task force meeting. 

Job Type: Full-time 

Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
