Have some aptitude to understand and use the Internet, email, and Microsoft Office.

What You’ll Do

IowaCASA’s Membership Services & TA Coordinator provides support and training for IowaCASA member programs and other organizations that serve survivors of sexual violence.  This position develops relationships with directors, supervisors, and direct support staff at member programs to learn about the challenges and successes of victim service organizations and understand the current issues and needs of sexual assault survivors. They use insight gained to help craft meeting and training topics and develop resources. This means that you will:

provide consultation to individuals and groups on issues and questions about service to survivors of sexual violence, organizational management, and policy implementation.

manage IowaCASA’s services and support to member programs, tailoring assistance to the unique needs of comprehensive sexual assault, culturally specific, and emergency shelter programs.

assess and update IowaCASA service standards for member programs to ensure a minimum standard of service and define a vision for best practices for serving survivors of sexual violence in Iowa.

strengthen capacity of member programs to provide sustainable, holistic, victim-centered services.

assess opportunities to expand membership and invite new members, ensuring alignment with IowaCASA's values and strategic priorities.

To Be Successful

To be successful in this position, you are someone who:

wants to end sexual violence, racism, and other oppressions

sees sexual violence and oppression as societal problems with a variety of causes and contributing factors

likes to network with diverse audiences and build trusting respectful relationships

sees the diversity of communities across Iowa

takes initiative and uses creativity

wants to learn and grow

Studies have shown (https://antiracisthr.guide/) that women, nonbinary folks, and People of Color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every single one of the qualifications as described in a job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organization and we are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job. That candidate may be one who comes from a background less traditional to our field of work, and that’s okay. We would strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of the qualifications described.

What Else You Should Know

We are an equal opportunity employer, and we make a particular effort to recruit people of color to apply for open positions. IowaCASA strives to be an actively anti-racist organization and acknowledges that this is a work in progress.

The salary for this position is $60,000, with an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental, and life insurance, retirement, generous paid leave, and flexible hours. Because we know that the practice of salary negotiation can contribute to pay inequities, this starting salary is non-negotiable. Our compensation structure—as well as our approach to future compensation adjustments—is transparent to all employees.

The Membership Services & TA Coordinator is a full-time, exempt position that is solely grant-funded. This position requires in-person work at the Des Moines office. When travel is safely possible, this position requires statewide travel (approximately 3-5 days per month).

How To Apply
