Job Details
The Work Force Development Specialist will work in conjunction with the Chief Impact Officer to develop further opportunities for work force development for the clients of Our House and provide Child Development Associate training (CDA). The incumbent is charged with creating partnerships that result in the creation of both external and internal opportunities for increased job skills and placements for our clients as well as recruitment, implementation and support of our CDA program. They will also work closely with the Directors of each program to identify workforce needs in our client base, teacher workshops on needed interview and work place skills, and provide support for clients through the critical interview and first few months of employment
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and implement CDA program (teach 120 hours of CDA curriculum) to include supporting the placement of students for CDA (Child Development Associate) internships and assist Our House students with completion after course work including but not limited to job placement
2. Coordinate, plan and/or deliver at least 2 additional employment training series leading to certification annually
3. Develop and manage partnerships that enhance the employment readiness of adult participants.
4. Implement independent judgement in placing students in internships and assessing progress toward completing the credential
5. Develop partnerships that offer needed work force development services that include job training, internship placement, continuing education within the community that connect with the needs of our clients
6. Support the development of additional job training programs within the programs of Our House
Data Management and Reporting
1. Track goals and outcomes for ECE students utilizing established tools
2. Track goals and outcomes for Employment Training participants utilizing established tools
3. Serve as the connector for all clients seeking improvement of job skills and tracking their placements
4. Enter in partnership data as referral sources
5. Ensure that program data is entered into all appropriate systems.

Education: Minimum: BA in ECE, Child Development, Social Services or related field
Experience: Early Education, Teaching, Workforce Development, or Adult Education
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
