Overview: MissionWired is looking for a Senior Accountant, reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting, to join a growing financial operations team. This position will also be a critical partner to our client management, development and product teams, among others. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and relationship building skills, having a demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth, deadline-driven environment. Successful candidates will:

    • Work with Accounting Manager and VP, Finance to manage accounting and general ledger activities to ensure an accurate monthly, quarterly, and year end close
    • Gather payroll expenses and input into the accounting system
    • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Analyze month end fluctuations in general ledger accounts
    • Assist in preparing monthly reporting for internal leadership
    • Assist with the annual audit process, including both the readiness, the execution, and the preparation of supporting schedules
    • Drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and internal controls
    • Work with other departments in accounting-related matters
    • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
    • Assist in preparing revenue/deferred revenue journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with ASC 606.

Must-have qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance
    • 3+ years of experience in an accounting role in a fast-paced environment
    • Technically minded individual comfortable with communicating finance & accounting requirements to engineers
    • Excellent Excel skills required and comfortability with large data sets
    • Experience with ERP systems preferred (Sage Intacct)
    • Familiarity with ASC 606 preferred

Salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
