Church Description: Johns Creek Baptist Church is part of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. We are a church that connects for community, forms for fruitfulness, and mobilizes for mission within a shared life of authentic worship. We are located in Metro-Atlanta and serve families in multiple zip codes around the Alpharetta and Johns Creek area.

Position Description: We are seeking two part-time Children’s Ministry Associates who are looking to gain experience and training in the area of Preschool and Children’s Ministry. These interns will support our Preschool and Children’s Ministries and our Children’s Pastor by providing assistance and structure to our programming (ages birth– 5^th grade). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing and assisting Sunday morning classes
• Assisting the preparation of supplies for teachers & volunteers
• Communicating with volunteers and parents as needed
• Assisting in Social Media posting and announcements
• Assisting with Vacation Bible School, summer camp, and summer activities
• Assisting in the planning and facilitation of family events
• Leading and teaching in Preschool Worship (1yr-PreK)
• Leading and teaching in Children’s Worship (K-2^nd grade)
• Supporting our children with special needs and our special needs ministry
• Upholding the policies and procedures of the church and Children’s Ministry Working with other interns and staff to provide creative, fruitful ministries and programs

This position reports to the Children’s Pastor and will involve a commitment of 20-25 hrs. per week. With some weeks of extended hours, ex. VBS, Camp, etc. This position is paid and part-time.f

• A relationship with Christ and desire to grow the Kingdom of God
• Experience with planning events and ministry experiences
• Desire and passion to actively engage families and children in spiritual development
• Experience interacting with and leading volunteers and parents is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion and gifts in leadership and teaching
• Ability to follow directions while also being proactive
• Ability to relate well with JCBC Staff Members and Church Members
