The Assistant Business Manager of a small private school supports the work of the Business Manager and reports to the Manager about the daily functions undertaken in the school. The Assistant Business Manager's responsibilities are to help ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day management of the school and to assist with and expedite ongoing projects with other members of the administrative team. The Assistant Business Manager must have a four-year college degree and some work experience as well as strong social skills and excellent computer skills to be able to carry out the following responsibilities, among other duties, at the direction of the Business Manager:
• Create and Maintain business documents for reference purposes;
• Develop business presentations and deliver them in management, faculty, and parent meetings;
• Analyze for the root cause of problems in business and find effective solutions;
• Coordinate and attend team meetings and collect feedback from team members;
• Manage LMS/EMS/SIS Blackbaud software;
• Help with the registration and scheduling of new students on Google Drive, using Blackbaud software;
• Help to manage daily business operations and perform the role of Business Manager in her absence;
• Evaluate and implement necessary changes as required in the day-to day running of the school;
• Prepare and help manage the calendar of the Business Manager;
• Assist the sales and marketing team in promoting the school through publications and special events;

• Assist with communications to various members of the community;
•
• Resolve customer issues in a satisfactory manner;
• Provide support to teachers and staff in meeting deadlines and with technical or digital issues;
• Help to manage Administrative Interns, as needed;
• Ensure implementation of health, safety, and security rules.
Assistant Business Manager Skills:
The Assistant Business Manager should have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills and be a gifted multitasker to handle different tasks simultaneously. S/he should possess strong leadership ability to guide and lead employees and solve workplace problems. The Assistant Business Manager must demonstrate a professional attitude both inside and outside of the company. S/he needs to have good people skills and be able to motivate people.
