Wayfinder Family Services (Wayfinder) is the place to turn for people facing the greatest challenges. It provides expert, individualized support and services to children, youth and adults, from those who have vision loss or profound special needs to foster youth with serious medical conditions or trauma, and their families.  With an operating budget of $48.9 million, Wayfinder provides an array of services in 57 counties throughout California.

Wayfinder is seeking a visionary, empowering, forward-thinking leader with demonstrated success in programmatic team leadership as its Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer (EVP/COO) to further the agency’s mission to ensure that children, youth and adults facing challenges always have a place to turn.  Under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer, the EVP/COO serves as the Chief Clinical Officer for the agency and oversees the operation of all Wayfinder programs and services.  As a member of the executive team, the EVP/COO will serve as second-in-command and support the CEO in the daily operations and administration of the agency.  Overseeing a staff of approximately 400, the EVP/COO will bring outstanding leadership qualities, as demonstrated by success in managing complex programs and budgets in a nimble and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years of senior executive management experience and at least five years overseeing the direction and management of an agency’s overall clinical, mental and behavior health services.  Broad experience in a variety of areas in human services such as child welfare, developmental disabilities and blindness/vision services is highly preferred.  A master’s degree is required.  Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is strongly preferred.  The salary range is $230,000 to $270,000.  The EVP/COO is expected to be located/reside in Southern California and will travel to other program sites as needed.

Wayfinder has retained Morris & Berger to conduct the EVP/COO search.  To view the full position description, please visit https://pub.marq.com/morrisberger_2202/.
