PROGRAM GRANTS MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Program Grant Manager to join the agency at its headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

The Program Grant Manager will ensure that each program funded by a grant meets and exceeds its goals while implementing and evaluating outcomes in areas such as training, reporting, and quality assurance. The Program Grant Manager will create and implement a process for tracking progress toward all deliverables and outcomes for each grant and will work collaboratively with all sub-grantees to ensure data-sharing, progress monitoring, and consistent communication.

  • Previous experience in managing and auditing program grants
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets
  • Understanding of grant processes including accounting and financial reporting
  • Ability to interpret federal, state, and local government laws and regulations regarding grant administration
  • Ability to review the work of others to ensure conformance to standards
  • Ability to perform in cross-functional team approach and job responsibilities

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure expectations of all grants are clearly explained and reinforced with all appropriate team members
  • Create a procedures guide for each grant to include program and finance policies and procedures (created by the Finance department)
  • Train staff on policies and procedures for each grant
  • Manage the administration of all grant deliverables and grant reporting
  • Collaborate with partnering agencies and departments and lead the cadence of meetings with planned agendas, data sharing, and next steps
  • Ensure excellent and timely completion of all grant deliverables and activities
  • Ensure accurate reporting on all grant deliverables and outcomes through creating and generating reports in Salesforce
  • Monitor compliance of any grant related deliverables, policies, and activities
  • Oversee all data collection, data analysis and evaluation, and reporting in relation to each grant
  • Provide feedback and peer-to-peer learning and training opportunities based on Program data
  • Serve as the liaison between the Program Department and all other agency departments regarding all grant deliverables, activities, and accounting to include Finance and External Relations
  • Stay informed with the Finance Department to ensure grants are properly budgeted, spending is properly recorded, staffs time is properly recorded, and spending is fulfilled on all line items
  • Represent the agency at all required grant meetings internally and externally
  • Serve as the agency representative with each grant funder or parent organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree required; Minimum of 3+ years' experience managing projects and programs, experience in a nonprofit setting preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with CRM software systems a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Routine office environment. Flexible, hybrid work schedule provided. Requires some in-person days weekly in our Atlanta office.
