Part-Time Operations Associate

The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta provides clients with necessary and essential household furniture. Clients include individuals and families moving out of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or living below the poverty level and experiencing a life crisis such as a fire or flooding. Our mission is to create stability for families and individuals in need by distributing donated furniture to turn their houses into homes.

The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta seeks a part time Operations Associate to help with a variety of tasks. This position is an ideal fit for a student or worker looking to get a varied and hands on experience in the nonprofit world.

The position will be for 15-20 hours a week with some opportunity for additional hours during busy times.

Job duties include:

• Phone calls with potential clients and furniture donors, explaining our processes and answering questions
• Helping check clients in and select furniture
• Data entry as needed
• Setting up for and helping with volunteer groups
• Helping with mailings
• Assisting with preparations for special events (including a 5K and gala)
