Kate’s Club is seeking full-time Regional Program Coordinators in the below areas.
- Southwest Georgia, based in Albany area and including Dougherty, Terrell, Lee, Worth, Colquitt, Mitchell, Baker, and Calhoun counties
- Coastal Georgia, based in Brunswick area and including Camden, Glynn, McIntosh, Wayne, Brantley, Pierce, and Charlton counties
Regional Program Coordinators will report directly to the State Outreach Manager and will play an integral role in advancing the organization’s efforts to reach the more than 200,000 children and teens, and more than 300,000 young adults, in Georgia facing life after the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver.
This position requires availability on some evenings and weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duty: Creating and maintaining strong relationships with local community partners
- Assist State Outreach Manager in local needs assessments and most effective marketing and community education approaches
- Increase awareness of Kate’s Club within local communities with a focus on organizations that work with children such as schools, faith organizations, hospices, hospitals, counseling agencies, etc.
- Build and steward relationships with partner agencies, schools, community organizations, etc. who can serve as referral sources, potential sites for programs, and advocates for the needs of grieving children
- Provide guidance and resources to members of the community in need of grief support, particularly as it relates to children, teenagers, families, and young adults
- Provide professional trainings on a variety of topics related to childhood bereavement
- Represent Kate’s Club at resource fairs, public meetings, and other community events
- Keep detailed records of all outreach activities
Duty: Program management and facilitation
- Plan and facilitate grief support programming for groups of children, families, and young adults
- Collaborate with schools and community partners to identify potential participants and increase permission form return rates for school- and community-based groups
- Support new Clubhouse program participants in intake process, including caregiver phone interviews, youth bereavement needs assessments, and family orientations to Kate’s Club programs
- Provide referrals to families in need of mental health therapists or other outside resources
- Ensure that child safety policies and emergency procedures are followed at all programs
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date maintenance of participant records in Apricot database
- Train, manage, and track participation of volunteers
Duty: Track and report progress of regional expansion efforts
- Continually assess programs for effectiveness and offer informed input for needs of program
- Keep track of all data related to programs, groups, and community outreach
- Support State Outreach Manager in collecting data required by grant administrator
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required in a human or social services field, Master’s degree considered favorably
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience working in a social service or mental health-related field
- A familiarity with social services sectors in the region
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- An understanding of bereavement and a passion for the Kate’s Club mission
- Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful in a remote work environment
- Ability to demonstrate presence, self-confidence, good judgment, and effectively listen to others
- High degree of accountability, responsibility, and professional integrity
- Aptitude for data management, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Suite, case management software, and data management principles
- Willing to travel within the designated region and work flexible hours, including up to four evenings per month and one to two weekend days per month
- Willing to travel to Atlanta quarterly, reimbursable travel
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and clean driving record
Salary and Benefits
This position is full time. Salary range is $42,000 to $45,000 annually. Paid time off, health benefits, and professional development opportunities are provided.
